I love travelling, have worked in 65 countries and lived in 12. Every year I organize a small, informal, non-commercial group to the Celtic countries, always Ireland, sometimes Wales, Scotland or Brittany. We explore pre-history and history, sacred sites and great shops, pub music and wild coastlines. We have a lot of fun and the groups always seem to be made up of wonderful, interesting people. I have introduced 3 of my 4 grand-children to Ireland - what a delight seeing my homeland through new eyes. The very best trip was 2011 when my daughter made her first trip back since she was 4 years old.
And I love travelling in Canada. Total contrast as it is such a huge country with so many totally different land forms and cultures. Currently working in Haida Gwaii, last month was Ireland, Scotland, England and Ottawa.
My "middle of the road" below really means that I enjoy everything from a ger (felt tent) in Mongolia to the most luxurious hotel.
