Since Dec 2005

25-34 year old male

San Diego, California

I have to say that I am rather lucky when it comes to opportunities to travel. I am in my early thirties, just crossed the threshold. I just recently graduated from grad school. For my age and not coming from a well-to-do family, I have been traveling, rather well and often. When I travel, I try everything in the spectrum. Sometimes, I am a real tourist and other time I try to be like a local. I have tried "roughing it" by staying at 5 dollar/night guest house as well as staying at 5 star establishments, such as the Raffles or LHW. I have eaten really cheap street food as well as at 3 Michelin-starred restaurants. In the end, I prefer street food over stuffy Michellin starred restaurants. So much more fun to be amongst the locals. There is no way I can see all there is to see in my lifetime unless I win the lottery tomorrow. There are a few more places in Europe that I want to see before moving onto another continent
