Since Sep 2005

50-64 year old male

Florida Panhandle

I'm a single guy who got the European travel bug as a kid when my mom took me to see the rerelease of "The Sound of Music." After a summer of studying in Sweden during my tenure at the Tulane University School of Architecture, I began taking month-long or multi-week independent Eurail-and-backpack trips around Europe, often escorting friends or a group. I teach a seminar developed at Tulane called "Europe Bound" for first-time independent travelers, and produced a video series of the same name and topic for the Council on International Educational Exchange. Though I'm a full-time journalist, graphic artist and copywriter, on the side I help new Euroadventurers plan their first trips. My most recent trip was a three-week May 2015 adventure in Germany and France, including a week in our town's sister city, the fabulous island community of Noirmoutier, France.
