San Francisco, California

Love active travel outdoors, but can't do the camping thing no more. Firm believer that happiness comes from good, shared memories (in addition to grace). And travel has the potential to create GREAT memories. Not just from "must see" attractions but from ordinary things like trying to order "fish and chips" and being asked "do you want fries with that"? I also tweet SF related stuff at https://twitter.com/altippet So if something is NOT memorable -- even if everything works well and is perfectly fine and meets my expectations, then it will gets 3 stars from me. 4 or 5 stars are reserved for properties or attractions that have something unique that makes it memorable for me. Disclosure: Do own a few shares of TripAdvisor and Hyatt. While that makes me want to see these stocks do well, it does not affect reviews of individual properties at all. But it explains why I tend to stay at Hyatts when given the choice.
