My travel wish-list:
places for TWO suitcases; bedside tables for glasses, books, etc.; a lamp near each side of the bed; Wifi code (without it being buried inside a booklet or having to ask for it); no excess furniture... I'd rather have a bit more space; water bottles or carafe; hooks for hanging gear and drying... lose the bulky armoire: it's too dark and too big.
I love activity, culture, history, art and authenticity. And, food and wine, hence the constant search/review for a gym or pool. We love browsing local grocery stores along with museums. I like to meet locals for their points of view. I want a sense of the place itself.
I try to be positive in my reviews because standards vary from place to place. What each place is like compared to their norm, not according to American luxury hotel standards. Great sites aren't always super exciting. Quiet places are amazing, too.
