We travel for adventure and challenge with lots of time to just be, sit, watch, listen. We have traveled/lived in most of the countries between Afghanistan and Japan. 50 years ago i slept in the ruins of Angkor and hitchhiked on boats down through the Philippines. Since 2011 we have putt-putted down Lake Nasser, crossed the Sahara from Siwa to Luxor, camped in the Great Sea and the White desert, driven in Namibia and done a long safari( Botswana to Kenya) 9 weeks in Turkey, Jordan, Egypt and Sudan followed. Central America and the Mayan sites started a love affair with Guatemala. Gorillas in Uganda and then Cameroon followed in late 2013. In 2014 we visited friends in Taiwan and the north of Vietnam. Six weeks in Ethiopia and 3 in Chad ended 2014. 2015 was Iran, the 5 Stans and an afternoon in Afghanistan. India and Oman followed. Next up are a return to Ethiopia and first trips to Somaliland, Djibouti, Rwanda and maybe Burundi.
