I work as a tourism counsellor (a fancy term meaning I provide tourism information) at an information centre in South Surrey. The majority of visitors who stop into the centre are from Washington, Eastern Canada, or are local Surrey residents. I meet lots of friendly people excited about their vacation plans and curious to learn more about British Columbia. I also get a lot of laughs from this job with questions like "Where can I see an igloo?" or "Can I drive to Alaska by dinner time?". But when it comes down to it, I'm just one person and there is still much of BC that I have yet to explore so I'm hoping to gain some new insight that I can pass on to visitors.
