I have been to China and Cuba, but cannot help spending most of my free time in the always-irresistible Italy. There, I have learned what good food is all about, and I have learned to be particular. Not that I cannot enjoy a chili cheese dog, mind you, but I try to avoid fried and over-salted foods, too much sugar, white flour, butter and cream. The surprise is that much healthier foods can taste even better and subtley more satisfying. In my opinion. I have learned that fresh ingredients make a world of difference, bacon can save almost anything, and wine is both ends of the rainbow.
