My family and I stayed at the hotel last night. We got this place because it accommodates our big family (8 of us). I have 4 teens and two small kids a 4 year old and a 1 year old. Last night as we were getting ready for bed my four year olds comes up to us and handed us a syringe!!! My husband and I freaked out!! Besides the rooms smelling like cigarettes we had to deal with this crap. The next morning I spoke to the manager and she acted like nothing bad happened. Her flat expression while I was explaining to her that my 4 year old had found it near the bed made me so upset. I also mentioned to her that it could have been my 1 year old and she puts everything in her mouth and her expression and lack of concern really upset me, not even an apology I got from her!! I will NEVER stay there again, it is ghetto and unsafe!! Oh and the "complimentary breakfast" was a joke!! The poor lady that was stocking the breakfast had no idea what she was doing! The only good thing was the waffles. STAY AWAY!!!
We certainly apologize for your experience and that you felt the response and concern were lacking. In our team meeting, the day you reported this, we discussed at great length with our room attendants, maintenance staff and inspectors the importance of checking the floors thoroughly for items left behind. We are taking new additional measures of using a flashlight during room inspections which we believe will help, We do appreciate that you brought this to our attention and assure you that we took it very seriously. Again, I am very sorry that my response seemed flat, however, I assure you that I cared deeply about your experience and I personally apologize that sentiment did not come across to you when we met. Kind Regards, Joanna Capps, General Manager.
