I liked the place but I wish they could have cleaned for us during our stay and changed linen. Other than that the staff was so friendly and helpful. It felt like home away from home. Absolutely comfortable

Arrival: Lourenco was late by 20 minutes to pick us up in Bilene City (eventhough we called ahead 3 times on the way there).
Wifi: We are under the impression that the management (the two brothers) lied to us throughout our stay as to why the wifi did not work. They gave several different excuses, until we found out they only put 800 MZN on their account every other day. Then the wifi would work for 1 hour, before the account (5000 mb) was empty again. Instead of just telling us this the first day, they kept telling us that the routers where unreliable and if the wifi didn't work when they restarted them there was nothing to be done about it.
Acommodation: Mice ran inside the walls and ceiling ALL night long throughout our stay. The scratching and squeaking kept us awake all night.
One day we came home at 22:30, and the gate was locked but no security was there to open up the gate for us. So we had to climb through a hole in the bushes to get to our house (eventhough it clearly stated in the papers inside the house, that the security man would be there all night). We complained about this to Lourence and nothing was done - the gate was just let open the next night. This is not to be blamed on Agustinho (the "nightwatch") who was very kind - but was just another sign of bad management.
Departure: We had from Day 1 arranged to drive back to Maputo with Lourence's brother - which was offered on their behalf. This was at first glance a very kind gesture which we gladly accepted! - in hindsight we would much rather have arranged our transport with other more reliable people. We had several times (!!) confirmed our departure time with both brothers: 9 am on Tuesday, 18th July. This was VERY important to us as we had to go directly from Just In Time to Maputo Airport and catch our flight home to Denmark. At 9 am there was no sign of either brother. We had to borrow the bartender's phone to call them up! Lourence showed up 09:40 and arrogantly told us that we "had too much time" and that we would arrive at the airport at 11 am at the latest (which is quite impossible since the dirtroad from 'Just in Time' to Bilene City alone is 35 min in a 4x4 truck...) Finally at 10 am (an hour late) the brother showed up. When we finally got on the road we had to stop and wait for him to do his personal groceries in Bilene City before we could finally leave for the airport... We arrived at the airport "JUST IN TIME" to get on the plane.
Surroundings: To be fair the lagune of Bilene is a beautiful place with spectacular sunsets above the hills. The sand dunes on the far side of the lagune, next to the Serinity and The Threshold resorts, make a very beautiful 2 hour desert walk to the deserted beach by the Indian Ocean - an extrodinary view coming from the very calm lagune. Other people may prefer taking this trip on an ATV vehicle, so you also can drive along the beach once you get to the ocean.
All in all: a beautiful location with a clear view to the big sand dunes! But it was a very frustrating and dissapointing stay in so many ways. Arrogant, unreliable and rude management. Housekeeper, "nightwatch" and bartender was very kind. though. We don't recommend Just in Time to anyone, but would instead recommend the sweet staff at N'Bangha Lodge (just a 5 min. walk down the beach) for help, lovely food and accommodation! Unfortunately we had prepaid all 5 nights when booking on Hotels.com - we fear for others to do the same.

We visited Just in Time during July, the accommodation catered for all our needs and the staff were really helpful. Relaxing on the wooden decks overlooking the lake, beautiful sunsets, enjoying the local Tipo Tinto (R&R) with piri-piri chicken at the beach pub, what more can you ask for... It was really an unforgettable experience and we will most definitely return. Thanks

We really enjoyed the resort, it is nicely situated, clean and a comfortable living space with friendly people, close to the beach. We were 8 people that enjoyed the beautiful sunsets from our balcony that looks over the lagoon. The new road is also better equipped to cater for normal cars to get to the lodge but a 4x4 would be recommended.

The perfect holiday for family and friends. A safe location, good accommodation and friendly staff. The accommodation is definitely one of the best around the Bilene lake. The bar on the the lake is neat and Galitos the barman is very helpful - he even pack our folding chairs away every evening and set it up the next morning. We will be back.
