We are just leaving Kiani Beach Resort and I had to give it a review because we have been blown away with the Incredible service and hospitality.
We stayed in a superior loft massionette that had 2 floors (we are a family of 4) it had 2 bathrooms and a little kitchen too. We had a beautiful view of the sea.
Kiani is based right on the beach as the name suggests and has two main pools plus two kids pool. They also have an indoor heated pool in the off season for the chillier days.
We were worried about the weather in April but wow it’s been on average 24 degrees everyday some even hotter!
2 buffet restaurants with no booking required and then there is also an incredible rooftop restaurant. The food here was impeccable and is all freshly prepared on the day! Highly recommend dining there it’s worth it!
Also highly recommend upgrading to all inclusive plus on arrival especially if you like cocktails!

The resort was clean, a paradise for kids who could go in all the parks and pools, and the dinner, lunch and breakfast buffet choices were great. The entertainment reps and restaurant/bar staff were friendly. There was also a lovely lady called June at reception who was one of the only friendly receptionists we encountered. It was also good that they allowed us a slightly later check out which was helpful for our evening flight.
However, I don’t usually write negatively in my reviews but there were some things that were very annoying that have to be pointed out and could have been easily solved or warned about by the reception staff:
-When we arrived at 4pm for check-in, the reception area was busy and chaotic with people waiting for rooms. When I gave my name, the unhelpful man behind the desk assumed one large family room for 7 of us when really we had booked 3 rooms- all of which came separate and spread across the resort which is difficult for a family who want to stay close to each other. Only two of our three rooms were ready so they took some of us, but our couple with the baby were left to wait half an hour with the rest of the crowd with no explanation. Also, the man behind the desk was blunt and rude and didn’t explain anything- so we had no idea where any services were or how the all inclusive worked here. When I went back half an hour later to ask about restaurants etc. he continued to have a rude tone of voice and said he’d already explained this to me which he had not and just gestured to a direction for a restaurant. This wasn’t a good start and we felt stressed. Fortunately, there was a lovely lady behind the south side bar who explained the drinks and food systems to us and pointed it out clearly. -Our rooms temperature was set to 25 degrees Celsius and we were told by reception staff that this could not be changed but we were telling them that it really did feel too hot to stay in. When we booked this room AC was advertised but this is false and you cannot change it yourself it seems. We went to reception to ask and they could not have been more unhelpful- she just said no and that it was only hot for us because we were British and used to the cold. This was also obviously not the case for all rooms as my brother could adjust the AC in his room so the staff were either lying or didn’t have a clue. They also told us they’d phone back with a solution to our room that evening- they never did. So the next day we spoke with the manager who was unhelpful to begin with and laughed about the fact we’d been told it was just hot because we were British. After much debating, she eventually said it would be fixed to cool settings for us in the afternoon on the AC, which once again proved the staff were lying the day before when they said they couldn’t change it. Such unnecessary hassle if they’d just helped and made it cooler for us in the first place when we asked. -In general after these two first experiences, it was clear that the reception staff felt inconvenienced every time you asked them something and could not be more unhelpful. Your reception staff need some training on customer relations. -We went to book paragliding but a lot of the water sports had not started and they said it was out of season, so we could not do it- which surprised us as it was advertised on their app and it did seem busy at Easter time. -We were woken up on the first morning at 8:30am by housekeeping knocking on the door. We were also woken up by drilling works outside at the same time and this drilling and construction noise continued the entire holiday outside our room. It would have been nice to have been warned about this or apologised to as there was a full construction site going on. -We also came back from breakfast the first morning and there were loads of workmen in our room drilling and fixing things and doing things with the cupboards- we hadn’t been told about this and it was odd to arrive back to loads of men at work amongst our things. When we asked them what they were doing they couldn’t speak much English or explain it. We went to reception and they didn’t see a problem with this and said it was normal for works to happen. I told them to just wait and fix things when no guests are staying in the room but she didn’t get it. The workmen then left a huge pile of dust and it wasn’t cleaned up until housekeeping came later. -The all inclusive drinks tasted very watered down and not very nice and the daily snack bar was a fridge of dry sandwiches. Although, the crepe area was nice for a snack! I would recommend upgrading for nicer drinks. After we upgraded the drinks were great! Although after ordering a few ginger beers which were included, the next day the barman was telling us they were 3€ so it needs to be clearer what drinks are included in the all inclusive plus- as once again this was confusing and misinformed by the staff. -The pools were freezing. Maybe this will be nicer in the peak of summer! But going to the beach and swimming was amazing!
I would recommend this if you are looking for a child friendly location where kids can stay and play in the pools, parks and beach and run free. But there is not much to do in the immediate area for adults and their customer service at reception is appalling if you need any help at all.
