When planning your family’s summer holiday, why not book a vacation rental to really wow the kids? More than merely a place to lay your heads after a fun-filled day, a summer vacation home can be an adventure unto itself. With themed bedrooms, incredible amenities, features and extra conveniences – you may never want to leave! Here are 10 reasons your kids will totally agree.
1. Extra Perks
Many vacation rentals come with perks to please kiddos. How would your children like their own private pool for splash time? Or an in-home game room with billiard table, foosball and video games? Maybe a movie theater room with perfect surround sound? And what better way to treat your child’s sweet tooth than a fireplace or fire pit to make s’mores!?
2. A Good Night’s Sleep
Kids may not know they need a good night’s sleep, but they do. The whole family will have more fun on vacation after a restful night. The extra space afforded from a vacation rental means family members can bed down in separate rooms at different bedtimes, allowing everyone to get enough shut eye for the next day’s adventures.
3. Kids Are Hungry NOW, Not Later
Children live in the present moment, which means when they get hungry, they want to eat NOW. Staying in a vacation home means easy snacks, breakfasts and other meals are at the ready, the minute hunger strikes.
4. For the Love of Babies
Babies love vacation rentals, what with the extra space for crawling, plenty of room for a travel crib, and a kitchen for preparing bottles and mashed bananas. And so do their parents and older siblings; a bedroom for the baby’s naps means the rest of the family doesn’t need to stop having fun just because it’s sleepy time for the wee one.
5. More Room = Less Arguments
Your kids love their parents and their siblings. Really, they do! But there is such a thing as too much together time. The extra space in a home might just be what’s needed to keep the harmony while on holiday.
6. Bunk Beds
All children seem programmed to adore bunk beds. Delight your kids by booking a vacation rental with stacked beds and watch them squeal with excitement when they lay their eyes on their sleeping space, complete with ladder and all!
7. Fantastical Spaces
Many vacation homes even come with fantastical kids’ rooms that spark the imaginations of children. How about a princess-themed room complete with a bed shaped like Cinderella’s carriage? Or, perhaps a space-themed room is more your future astronaut’s style!
8. Primping Is a Priority
Especially if traveling with a tween or teen girl (or a mom!), the extra bathrooms in a rental mean there’s enough space for all of the gels, creams, sprays and makeup needed to primp. Plus, the extra vanity and tub will mean getting out the door faster in the morning so the family has more time to explore.
9. Multigenerational Togetherness
Getaways provide a wonderful time to bond with extended family. Find the appropriate-sized rental so grandparents, aunties, uncles and cousins can stay together. Younger children can go night-night earlier and leave older kids and adults time to play board games, watch movies and catch up.
10. More Money for More Vacation Fun
Vacation rentals are often more affordable than other accommodation options, especially when you take into consideration the extra perks, space, and savings from dining-in for some meals. That means more money for kids’ souvenirs, admission tickets and beach gear.
What kid wouldn’t want to stay in a vacation rental this summer?!
