This home is located on the beach between West Bay Beach and West End. This area is really quiet with few people, so if you are looking to avoid crowds this is a great spot. The house is about 50 yards from the sea with beach all around. West Bay and West End are both about a 20-minute walk in either direction down the beach. For those without transportation, water and land taxis are available when you want to venture away from the house.
The downstairs area has an open floor plan consisting of the kitchen, dining area and living area. The area is spacious and bright with a lot of natural light from the many windows, each with screens in case you want to take advantage of the fresh air. The downstairs area has an open floor plan consisting of the kitchen, dining area and living area. The area is spacious and bright with a lot of natural light from the many windows, each with screens in case you want to take advantage of the fresh air. The kitchen has plenty of counter space and is well stocked for those looking to make a few meals. The stove and oven run on propane. The dining table accommodates up to 6 guests with extra seating. The living area has a 40” flat screen TV with local cable and a DVD player. There is also wireless 3G internet. One air conditioning unit cools the lower level, and a half bath rounds out the downstairs space.
Upstairs are 2 large bedrooms and 1 bath. The first bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom has 2 queen beds, allowing up to 6 persons to sleep comfortably. Each bedroom has a lot of space and each has its own air conditioning unit. Each of the upstairs windows has a screen and each bedroom has a ceiling fan should you want to sleep without air conditioning. The shared bath upstairs is also a comfortable size and boasts a bathtub in addition to the shower.
Adjacent to Bonito Beach House is Bonito Beach Apartment. Guests can choose to rent the apartment also to accommodate up to 8 persons in this location. Please inquire for further details.
This home is not managed by Island House, guests are taken care of by the owner, Tammy. Tammy lives on site and checks guests in personally. Guests will be in touch with Island House up until their arrival. We are happy to answer guest questions and we encourage guests to use our free concierge services prior to and during their stay.

Great place to get away from the hustle and bustle
The Bonito Beach House/Apartments is mid-way between West End and West Bay. The apartment we stayed in had a large kitchen/dining-room/living-room area with a great view of the beach, just 50 metres away. The bedroom w/walk-in closet was also spacious.
There’s a nice quiet reef just down the beach. To get there, turn right when you get to the sea shore and walk about 150 metres until you see the colourful mermaid on a rock. To enter the water walk about five metres farther, where it’s sandy. When you’ve finished exploring the reef you might try snorkelling back, keeping your eyes peeled for big green morays swimming through the grass beneath you.
Eating: it’s a pleasant 15-20 minutes walk to the restaurants at West Bay; West End is a touch trickier because you’ll need to work your way around rocks that jut out into the sea—but it is do-able, even for 70 year old’s.
There’s also a woman named Dana just around the corner from the apartment who does excellent baleadas and chicken dinners. If eating at home is your thing, have your cabbie do a stop at Eldon’s supermarket after being picked up at the airport. Prices are a little over the top here, but they’re better than you’ll find just about everywhere else. Your apartment will have good cooking and storage facilities.

I can not say enough good things about this house! The property was clean and the pictures are true to the house. Everyone was so friendly. It is in a great location! Walking distance to West Bay. We loved the water taxis to West End. The sunsets in the evenings are like nothing I have ever seen! Will differently be staying here again!
