The owners have carefully designed, renovated and furnished the home keeping in mind the details guests would want to find in their ideal vacation destination. From a fantastic private pool overlooking the Caribbean, to a carefully designed path to a private cove beach with loungers. Guests can expect to find a well-stocked kitchen with potable water from the faucet, as well as extra bottled water with a cooling dispenser in two locations. Peace, beauty, luxury, convenience...
Thought I would leave a review, since we were so impressed with our recent lodgings. We just spent a long weekend here with 2 other couples, and I can't say enough about L'alize. The house easily accommodated all of us, including our children, for a total of 16 people! It was wonderful to be so close to West Bay, (the best beaches on Roatan, 4 minute drive) and yet have the privacy of our own little secluded beach. We went out of our 'keyhole' beach this morning and saw spectacular coral, fish, lobster, an octopus and eel.
The kids enjoyed playing in the pool, and exploring the gorgeous jungle landscape out the back door. They also spent hours on the deck enjoying the view, playing board games and cards.
It was extremely convenient to have a van available to travel back and forth to West Bay, to the market, nearby restaurants, etc.
The house itself was very clean, comfortable, and fully stocked with every anticipated and unanticipated necessity. It felt like true paradise each morning, as we awoke to a surreal sunrise off the back deck, sipping coffee as the sun emerged from the Caribbean Sea. The artwork in the house was also a really nice touch.
We were treated when the on-call staff prepared an amazing and very affordable breakfast and dinner. I never thought I would find myself enjoying fresh authentic Beignets in Honduras!
Overall, we loved it and will definitely return for more Roatan magic.

Beautiful home with private beach access
Beautiful home in West Bay with private access to the beach! We had a marvelous week doing yoga sessions on the balcony at sunrise, snorkeling with colorful fishes and discovering the island, thanks to Edier our friendly and reliable driver! Hope to come back again next year!

Wedding Paradise- Diving Destination
L'Alize and the people who took care of us at the house exceeding every expectation we had for blending families at our wedding. The private beach is something out of a movie- absolutely breathtaking and magical for our wedding ceremony. Eddie was on deck to put out the 2 kayaks whenever we needed them. The wreck at the end of the cove made for fun snorkeling. Selma made us two Honduran meals, and we enjoyed the quiet of the open dinning room while we ate delicious food. Bananarama is a short drive and offered unparalleled scuba experience. Rosanne immediately responded when we had questions. My teenage son appreciated the fast internet. House very clean and we had the fridge stocked upon arrival. Every detail was taken care of so we could relax. Eddie got us to and from the airport stress free. Thank you.

Amazing rental in paradise!
Our stay at L’alize was nothing short of amazing! The house was perfect for our group with room to spare! Nice pool and patio seating! Close to the worlds best beaches and activities, but secluded and private! Eddie and staff met our every need, going above and beyond! We are already planning our next trip!

Best Vacation of my Life
Without a doubt, this trip was one of the best of my life, the house is gorgeous, the views are breathtaking, endless amount of activities, and a week with very beautiful people. The staff at the house, would help us with everything we need, having people come to the house and prepare our meals was one of the best decisions we made, there is so many activities to do here at the house, and the privacy, it was amazing. There is nothing negative I can say about this place. There were five of us from the United States who met with 8 from Honduras and we spent a week together creating so many memories. I thank Rosanne for being so accommodating to our group, she was wonderful with helping us to prepare for this week. Edier was wonderful, having him as a driver, took so much stress off of the week. Thank you to everyone who helped us make this trip a wonderful memory

Pictures Portray Villa Accurately
This is the sixth time a group of us has rented a villa and each time we have done our homework (read reviews etc.), but until you walk into the house you do not know how old the pictures on the website are. Rest assured the photos of L'Alize are up to date and accurate.
From the reservation process to being met at the airport everything went as planned. Rosanne was extremely prompt in getting back to me when I had questions regarding the reservation and pricing.
I would recommend that you hire Edier as your driver for the week. The roads in Roatan can be rough and the drivers are not that great either. Edier was always available and on time to get us where we wanted to go.
As an added option you can have Zulma (the housekeeper) prepare a meal for your party. You pay for the ingredients and a fee depending on the meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner). We had her prepare a dinner for us and it was excellent. We should have had her prepare more than one meal.
The villa had all the amenities of home. You can walk down to the keyhole beach and use the kayaks provided by the villa. You can snorkel right off the beach and there is a shipwreck that seems to attract fish. Remember to bring water shoes as it is rocky getting in the water here.
Even after our stay Rosanne emailed me asking for any ways our stay could have improved. I offered that we could have used more plastic cups for drinks around the pool. (We broke a glass.) and more chairs for the pool area. In a subsequent email she said that she has purchased additional cups and chairs.
If you have a large group (we had 5 couples) this villa has more than enough room for you and you will receive great service from the owner and the employees of the villa.

Loved those ocean breezes at L'alize
We were a mixed group of 5 -- 1 couple, 2 other adults and 1 teenager. L'alize has enough space and rooms to spread out and if you wanted quiet and privacy, you could have it! The ocean view is so beautiful and exactly what we were looking for-we most enjoyed the porch and ocean view over a cup of coffee in the morning and with a glass of wine in the evening! Though the temps were in the 80's every day we were there, we needed no A/C as the house is situated such that the ocean breezes were enough to cool the house and keep the bugs away! The home is well supplied, is kept clean, and very thoughtful on having things such as use of snorkel equipment, kayaks, beach bags, and ping pong table, pool toys included. We cooked and grilled meals at the house; we had all the kitchen utensils and cookware we needed. We hired Edier to drive us and would not have wanted it any other way. Eddy was available and willing to drive us where we needed to go and one day we had him take us on a tour of Roatan. Always kind and smiling! We loved Eddy! We had Sulma cook two dinner meals for us--also highly recommend this as it was the best food we ate in Roatan. Sulma made us a welcoming snack of baleadas (traditional Honduran snack)and ginger tea upon our arrival--we were starving and it was so yummy. She cooked us shrimp and beef kabobs with sweet potato/red onions side, red beans and rice and fresh salad with homemade dressing one night and fish tacos with fresh slaw and ginger tea the other. It was the best! We snorkeled in West Bay (left end as you look at ocean/in front of the last resort on the beach. There's also a wall of old coral there inhabited by curious iguanas) but found the snorkeling right out in the little keyhole was the best. More types of coral, bed of very large brain coral straight out, colorful fish, and of course saw the shipwreck. We were only able to kayak and snorkel out in the keyhole a couple days out of the week because of the rough waves most days. But a must to take advantage of keyhole on calmer days. What we enjoyed most here was hanging out at the house, by/in the pool and on the veranda enjoying the view! Rosanne, the owner of L'alize, is very responsive and genuinely cares that you enjoy your stay. She is an amazing host! We had some questions about certain things and texted or emailed her and she responded quickly. Fabulous host and we are grateful for her sharing her beautiful island home with us! Gorgeous view
The house is beautiful and has a gorgeous view of the lush vegetation and ocean. Amazing snorkeling is literally steps away. I saw my first octopus and so much more! If you snorkel, there really is no reason to pay to go anywhere else. You can easily swim to other coves, etc. The kayaks were a great addition. Staff is extremely helpful and we were grateful to have Edier as our driver and his daughter as our guide. Our only "criticism" (and this is just our preference) is that the house was a bit remote for us as we like to walk to as many places as possible.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Glad you enjoyed the beautiful location. Though only a mile from West Bay Beach, it is hilly which makes walking there a little challenge. The good side is that you don't have the tourist crowds, and we offer a car for our guests to use.

Tropical Paradise
My family had the pleasure of staying at L’Alize for two weeks. Our experience was exceptional. The property was beautiful and accurately described in the description. The owner, Rosanne, was responsive to my questions and the property manager, Eddie, was available throughout our stay to give guidance and drive us. Aside from the absolutely gorgeous view of the ocean, my family enjoyed the very pleasant temperatures. The temperatures were cool enough at night for sleeping and warm enough during the day for swimming. The pool was well maintained and skimmed and cleaned daily.
There is so much to do in the area. We especially loved Gingers for lunch and snorkeling, the Roatan Oasis for dinner and drinks. For a great fishing trip book with Ruthless Roatan Charters, they go above and beyond. The snorkeling at West Bay was awesome.
This is the perfect property for groups looking for gorgeous views, peace and quiet and a totally relaxing experience. My words do not do our absolutely wonderful experience justice!

Incredible!
I knew I would be happy with the home from the pictures but it was even more amazing in person. Our trip included myself, my wife & two 11 year olds. The home had enough room for several families & had everything we could need. The views were just amazing. The pool was perfect. The keyhole beach was much closer than I thought. Even with some waves, the snorkeling was great and we spent many hours in the water here. We rent homes at least once a year but usually are only there early mornings & at night. This vacation, the majority of our time was spent here because everyone wanted to leave the beaches to come back "home". It stood apart from other rentals by being so peaceful & secluded which made it feel like our own private island. The owner was great about responding to emails & it was nice having staff we could contact if we needed anything. I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else!

Getting around
A Car is recommended to make the most of l'Alize and Roatan in general. We offer a new 16 passenger minibus for $400/wk to our guests exclusively. If guests are shy about driving on island roads, no problem, we can also provide our driver, Edier, a competent driver who lives minutes from the property, will be available to you whenever you need to go somewhere. This translates to considerable savings on excursions. He is also our handyman and gardener.
There are dependable car rental agencies . One of our favorite outings is getting dropped off in West Bay and taking a water taxi to West End.
