Birthday celebration
A group of us stayed at the wriggly tin for the 2nd time to celebrate a significant birthday. The house is great, with lots of thoughtful touches, such as fresh flowers, homemade flapjack and chocolate. Last time we stayed, the loft bedroom was very hot, but an air conditioning unit has been out there, and we slept well. It’s perfectly placed for lovely walks. We are planning to stay again next year, and hopefully make it an annual event

HIDDEN GEM
This place is finished to a very high standard. Everything you need is there and more. Homemade flapjack and chocolate and flowers was a lovely touch. This is a great house for a family get together and very spacious. We spent most of our time around the kitchen table which was great. The house was spotless and we will definitely visit again as there is so much to do in the area. Had a fantastic meal in the Red Lion at Litton which was recommended by Karen.

What A Find
We have just returned from 5 day’s at The Wriggly Tin. This was the first visit for us but won’t be the last. The accommodation is situated in an ideal position for people who wish to experience the fantastic countryside and outdoor activities the Peak district has to offer. On arrival there was fresh flowers, homemade flapjacks and chocolate waiting for us as well as a warm friendly owners Karen and Pete. The place was clean tidy with some provisions including games, maps, plenty of sanitizer and anti-bac plus lots of useful bits and bobs. All nine of us fitted in with lots of space to spare, hopefully your EV charger will be connected for our next visit. Thanks Both we will be back. (if you’re not fully booked!)

Amazing place to stay
This has to be one of the best cottages in the Peak District. A warm welcome from Karen the host who lives nest door with home made flapjack and chocolate to greet us. The accommodation is simply stunning and the attention to detail perfect. Everything you need for a self catering break is within the property. It has a real luxury feel with a real fire to relax by. Great location with numerous walks/rides accessible from the cottage including the famous Monsal Trail. So good we will be booking for next year.

Fabulous
The Wriggly Tin is a deceptively spacious holiday home, don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior, it's a proper Tardis! Karen kindly left us the essentials, tea, coffee, milk and homemade flapjacks (which were perfect to take out on a walk) plenty of fabulous walks start from the door step, The Monsal Trail is literally across the road. We had a fabulous stay and would honestly recommend The Wriggly Tin to families or, like us, groups of friends, it's a great place to relax.

Special place in the Peaks
What a wonderful place set in glorious landscape. Derwent Dam, Kinder Scout and the Monsal trail spectacular!! Everything we needed was provided The renowned flapjacks were as lovely as we expected. The property was spotless, rooms lovely and beds really comfortable. Availability of a cot really helpful another thing that didn't need to go in the car! The cosy tiny looking property was like a tardis with so much space for everyone. 8 of us and a baby all had plenty of room and no queue for the bathroom. Thank you Karen and family for providing a memory filled break for our family. Tom & Janetta and all the family x

Perfect hosts and perfect location
We had the good fortune of staying here at he end of May. Roght from booking through to our visit communication was excellent even getting a phone call on our arrival day to say we could come early as it was ready for us. We managed walk on the Monsal trail, a trip to Chester zoo and three escape rooms all within easy travelling distance. Would definitely recommend oh and Karen thank you so much for the flap jacks they were lovely, you should do mail order!

Home from Home
The wriggly Tin was just perfect - 9 of us stayed for 2 nights while we enjoyed the highs, lows spins and loops of Alton towers ... Karen’s welcome pack was great - home made flapjacks, chocolate goodies, tea coffee etc all very welcomed especially after a long 4 hour drive and a day at Alton The area around the Tin is just so picturesque with lots of walks nearby which unfortunately we didn’t have a chance to enjoy on this visit however hoping that we can visit again and make more of the surrounding areas and the local pubs :) Thanks to Karen again for her hospitality - a real find

Fantastic
This is our second visit to the Wriggley Tin. As with our previous visit everything was perfect. Thank you Karen for the Flapjacks and chocolate which were much enjoyed by us all. This time because the weather was good we actually had some lovely walks, along with a visit to the Blue John Cavern in Castletown which my granddaughter described as Awesome! The Wriggley Tin is becoming a special place for our family and friends reunions. Already we are planning our next visit.

Fabulous
We have just had a fabulous stay with seven of our dear friends at the Wriggly Tin. Everything was there and we just needed to buy our food. Everywhere was spotless. The weather was great. We were greeted with homemade cookies, even milk and orange juice in the fridge. We found plenty to do and a lovely walk along the Monsal Trail. I would not hesitate to recommend this place and we would definately come back again if we visit the UK again. Only one complaint - the holiday was too short!

About the neighborhood
Millers Dale is a beautiful village nestled in the fabulous Peak District, following the course of the River Wye. From the Wriggly Tin you can explore the hills and valleys along the Monsal Trail, experience the breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside, discover tranquillity as you amble along to Water-cum-jolly-dale, or relax as you and your family or friends picnic and play on the banks of the River Wye. This stunning location offers you a holiday full of memories, and will appeal to photographers for the local flora and fauna including rare orchids, there are also exciting ascents for rock climbers at Ravenstor and Chee Dale, including watching the abseiling events from the nearby viaduct. The Monsal Trail has just undergone a major overhaul, all of the 6 tunnels between Buxton(Blackwell Mill) and Bakewell were opened in May 2011, and we now have a perfect car free route for Bikes, Walkers, and Pushchairs along the 6 miles (12 miles return) from the Wriggly Tin to Bakewell and back. The route has opened up more breath taking views lost with the closure of the Railway line, and there are new information points along the track to add even more interest. The area is full of history for you to discover, Industrial history with the advent of the Railways and the disused Limekilns, and the local cotton mills of Litton Mill and Cressbrook. There is Medieval History at ‘The Catherdral of the Peak’ in Tideswell dating back to 13th Century. We have Castles to explore at Castleton and Bolsover. Eyam with indepth details of the plague transported to here from London in 1665 and contained within the village. Buxton and Matlock are both Victorian Spa Towns.
