Windy Neuk Chalet is situated in the heart of the beautiful quaint fishing village of Kilmore Quay. Everything is either on the doorstep or a few minutes walk away. The local shop is just round the corner and the nearest sandy beach is more or less opposite the chalet. Of course a village wouldn't be a village without a local pub! No need for drink driving laws here as it's just up the road from the chalet. Local seafood is on the menu in most of the restaurants , freshly caught that day. If you prefer to bring your supper home, then you could eat it on the veranda outside the chalet and watch the sun setting. The Leisure Marina offers sailing lessons, diving and boat trips. Interaction with guests: As we live in the bungalow right next to the chalet, guests can collect the keys from us by just ringing the door bell. Of course, we will always make sure that we will be around at your expected time of arrival.

What a wonderful find! Perfectly situated five minutes (if that) from the beach, Windy Neuk chalet is everything you need for a holiday in the peace and quiet. The chalet has everything you need for dining, a good night's sleep or just sitting outside, with a glass of wine, watching the beautiful sunsets. Georgie and Ian are the perfect hosts - friendly and chatty and we had some lovely goodies on our arrival. You're never too far from any of the tourist attractions around and it's a perfect base for all kinds of activities. Or none! Thank you so much Georgie and Ian, we had a wonderful time.

I had a lovely three-night escape at Windy Neuk. Surrounded by pretty, well-tended gardens, it is in a quiet and secluded area overlooking the sand dunes. The chalet is warm, comfortable and extremely clean. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The small supermarket and village centre are within a few minutes’ walk from the chalet as are the beautiful beaches.

We spent four nights in Windy Neuk chalet and can highly recommend it. The chalet is really well equipped and has everything one would need for a perfect chalet. The patio outside the chalet is absolutely beautiful, with a great view of the lovely sand dunes across the road. Georgina and Ian are wonderful hosts and Georgina had made the most delicious bread and treats and homemade marmalade and jam for us, she could go into business with her baking! We can highly recommend a trip here, as the space inside the chalet is great, and the beach is across the road and all very near beautiful Kilmore Quay village with great coffee shops and restaurants. Thank you Georgina and Ian, and we hope to return.

Spent a lovely week chillng out in Windy Neuk. Georgina and Ian are very welcoming and everything is to hand. Even got swimming in the sunshine. A fine place to unwind.

We got a windy week in Kilmore Quay so the chalet lives up to its name. It is lovely, close to everything. Georgina and Ian were helpful and friendly. Only negative was the bed is a little small for a tall couple. Other than that the chalet was perfect and has everything you need

Brona you were unfortunate with the weather especially on your marathon cycle ride! I’m afraid we cant accommodate extra tall people as space only allows for a 6 ft bed.

The best holiday we’ve had in Southern Ireland. Chalet was spotless and our hosts so friendly and helpful. They couldn’t have been better. The Chalet had all we needed and the veranda was ideal for serenity. On the edge of the village it was so peaceful but when the seagulls ‘partied’ overhead there was no avoiding it. The chalet was easily accessible to all the amenities and a great base for touring Wexford and Waterford.

Absolutely fabulous accommodation in a wonderful location overlooking sand dunes only steps from a beautiful beach and walking distance from an array of award winning restaurants/bars. Our hosts Georgia and Ian couldn't be more helpful and lovely tray of cakes and jams tea/coffee/milk are the icing on the cake for the perfect holiday. Will definitely be returning to "Windy Neuk"

The Windy Neuck Chalet was delightful and so was our wonderful host Georgia who left milk, tea, coffee an assortment of jam and some sweet treats to welcome us to Kilmore Quay. The Chalet was exceptionally clean with everything you would need for a perfect weekend or longer stay away from home. If you plan on visiting Kilmore Quay give Georgia a call you won't be sorry.

We spent a long weekend in this super little chalet, with wonderful hosts, the chalet is perfect for a getaway, spotless, has everything you need and location across from beach perfect, we thoroughly enjoyed our time and will definitely be back The lovely touch of a tray with milk, eggs, tea, coffee and cake was fantastic The local chipper and Chinese serving excellent food and Mace shop literally just around the corner Thank you so much to Georgina and husband Beautifully kept and maintained

I had to stay for 2 weeks in Ireland as an essential worker. Having previously stayed at Georgina and Ian’s beautiful chalet there was only 1 choice for me as I really didn’t want to be in a hotel and mixing with people. Wonderful location, immaculate accommodation with all the comforts of home, the friendliest and most helpful hosts you are ever likely to meet. Well stocked local shop 2 minutes walk away and on top of that stunning coastal walks on your doorstep. Hope to return later this year if I can get a booking👍

About the neighborhood
Kilmore Quay is a traditional fishing village in the 'Sunny South East' of Ireland. As you drive into the village, it reminds you of a picture postcard - thatched cottages throughout with glimpses of the lovely beaches at every turn. The Marina is only one of three to be awarded the Blue Flag, so it is very safe for young children and adults alike.
Getting around
There are of course various ways of getting around the area. Most visitors travel by car but if this is not possible then you can use the local shuttle bus which will take you into Wexford town where there is a train station. If you are feeling energetic, then Bike Hire is available from KQ Harbour.

Windy Neuk Chalet is very easy to find in Kilmore Quay. Coming from Wexford, you come to a little roundabout by the harbour and turn right. Drive past the Silver Fox restaurant which is on your left and then turn first right after the Mace shop. Windy Neuk is the first house on the left.
