Can't wait to go back!
What a wonderful location in the Waveney Valley, perfect for Norfolk, Suffolk and the east coast. Pump Cottage was a fabulous place to stay, a real home from home, with a beautiful garden backing onto the river. Jackie and John were the perfect hosts, who go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable in every way. Dogs are made welcome, and there is off-road parking. In short, I can recommend it without reservation, and I can't wait to revisit.

Fantastic large cottage
Brilliant place to stay in Norfolk, in the quiet village of Brockdish. The gardens are great, and if you go a bit further down and follow the paving track, you come to a running river with many trees a long the way, with plenty comfortable cushioned chairs to sit back and watch the day go by!!. It has a great village pub, a 90 second walk away. The owners Jackie & John were very friendly and welcomeing.
We basically needed a base for road cycling through out the week, with a good lockable garage which we got, out on our bikes the scenery was amazing, great experience, and we will be back!!.

Peaceful
Lovely hosts, there if you need them but otherwise unobtrusive.
Quiet location with extensive garden running down to river.
Accommodation had everything we needed and very comfortable and clean. Only very minor criticism is that we needed lamps on even during the day because it is dark indoors - however others may regard this as a plus because of the age of the property.

Thank you so much for leaving a review, so pleased you enjoyed your stay in Norfolk. As you mention Pump cottage is 400years old, and grade 2 listed, restricting any alterations and protecting its original features. however there is overhead lighting, wall lights and sidelights if required.
You may of preferred our other cottage the hayloft with high ceilings, patio doors where light pours in.
With our kind regards
John and Jackie

Delightful cottage
We have stayed at Pump cottage several times over the years and have always enjoyed a relaxing comfortable stay. The cottage is dog friendly and very well equipped. The wooded grounds are beautiful and the fishing is good.

Brilliant holiday in every way!
I came here with my friend after listening to her telling me all about it. I could never have imagined the beautiful setting, the air of calm and tranquillity or the friendliness of Jackie and John. The whole area is beautiful, the grounds alive with birds and beautiful flowers, even swans on the river. What could be better than to sit in perfect peace by the river, watching the birds and enjoying the sunshine. The accommodation was excellent, and a four-poster bed too!! Jackie and John had left us milk, eggs and scones, with butter and jam and cream too, plus everything we could possibly need - including games and puzzles for a rainy day. We couldn't have been treated better! We will definitely be back!
