The Treehouse is based on an Australian design, and is elevated to maximise the views of the Cairngorm Mountains in the Scottish Highlands.
The high level deck is the perfect vantage point for birdwatching, spotting the red squirrels high in the surrounding trees, or al fresco meals in the fresh air and sunshine - no midges here! And, on a clear night, you can sit out here with a glass of whisky, and enjoy the most amazing view of the starry sky.
The lodge is set amongst pine and birch woodland, overlooking the Strathspey Steam Railway line,( steam trains only,no mainline service!) and the renowned Boat of Garten Golf course.
We provide birdfood for birdwatchers, wellies for walkers, and a spacious comfy lounge if you just want to relax and enjoy the peace and the view.

We have just had a fantastic break at The Treehouse in Boat of Garten. The house was in excellent condition, set in a beautiful wooded garden.
The kitchen was very well stocked with no shortage of utensils, cutlery etc..
The large living/ dining room was very homely with a wood burning stove as its centrepiece. There were plenty of games and DVDs to tempt kids off their phones!
The bedrooms were very comfortable with lots of storage.
The bathroom was in good condition with a superb modern shower. One minor issue was there was only one toilet which caused the occasional queue!
We know the area well and The Treehouse was a great base for cycling, golfing and dog-walking. Downstairs there was plenty of room for our cycling and golfing paraphernalia.
The village is a great base, with a well-socked village shop (which also sells great coffee!).
There are dozens of off-road cycle routes and very quiet local roads.
For the golfer, there are great courses around, with Boat of Garten, Spey Valley and Granton-on-Spey, particular highlights.
We hope to return for another holiday and would thoroughly recommend The Treehouse.

Fun, relaxing and lots of wildlife
We spent a week here at the end of May and this was a perfect setting for a family break.
It rained every day but we didn't even notice due the beautiful landscape and we always found somewhere great to go!
The kids loved the treehouse and built a den in the garden or sat in the window seat trying to see how many birds they could name.
Would definitely recommend !
Anne the host was very accommodating and helpful!

Outstanding treehouse in a perfect location - our 2nd stay here!
We are always a bit nervous to go back to the same place, in case it isn't as good as we remembered it. However, for The Treehouse, the opposite was true! We loved this house the first time around, but even more so this time! Superb location in a lovely village - close to the centre but not on a busy road. The house is set in a beautiful woodland garden of about an acre, so loads of space for the children to explore. We also love that the steam train passes the bottom of the garden!
The house is a great size for our family of 5 (although could easily accommodate 7). I've never seen such a well equipped kitchen, so never any fear of running out of glasses or crockery whilst waiting for the dishwasher to finish!
The lounge is spacious with a gorgeous round open fire, and even with temperatures of minus 5 outside, we stayed toasty with ample supply of logs.
Now onto why it was even better this time - a superbly upgraded bathroom, with separate 'supersoaker' shower - very welcome after those long mountain bike trails! And a new massive, super-comfy bed in the master bedroom.
We also like that there is a large storage room for our mountain bikes - you don't always get this with a holiday home.
Whilst this home is towards the higher end of the price range, it is worth every penny. I would definitely book it again.

Perfect holiday home in a great location
The Treehouse has everything going for it. It's a lovely, comfortable house, with a large garden in which you can see red squirrels, and watch the steam trains go by. Boat of Garten is a lovely little village, with a lovely pub and restaurant at the Boat Hotel, and a fantastic little shop right across from Kinchurdy Road, a five minute stroll from the house. All the highlights in the area (Aviemore, Cairngorm national park, the Osprey RSPB centre, Lake Morlich and so on) are within easy (and beautiful) driving distance. The house itself is well equipped, and the fireplace makes a beautiful addition. We definitely hope to return some day.

Lovely holiday
Quiet location but near to local shop/post office, good pub, cafe and a selection of trails through the woods, along the river round a loch and into Aviemore.
Everything catered for including lots of board games.
Added excitement of a steam train passing close by!
The twin bedrooms were a tad small for our larger family members but the double was perfect and the bathroom was very nice.

3rd visit with the Grandchildren
We just love the Treehouse. It is extremely well equipped and cosy. The kids love the garden and swing and feeding the birds and animals who visit every day. You think you need something e.g. A bug candle and voila it's in one of the many kitchen drawers. Everything is there from BBQ fuel to washing powder and spare wellies and coats. The deck is great and Boat of Garten is a lovely village with places to eat out, a well stocked village shop and lots of cycle or walking trails.

This area of Scotland is ideal for both active and relaxing holidays.
There are numerous walks and bike trails nearby. There are watersports centres at Loch Morlich and Loch Insh.
Boat of Garten golf course is just 5 minutes walk from the lodge.
There is also horse-riding, quad biking, tennis, swimming, and clay-pigeon shooting available in the area.
Landmark Forest Adventure Park is fantastic for children ( and adults!!) and is only 5 miles away.
The Highland Wildlife Park is also a wonderful place to visit, and is about 12 miles away.
For keen birdwatchers, you don't really need to leave the Treehouse as we have so many birds in the garden. But we also have the RSPB Osprey Centre, just a few miles away, at Loch Garten.
We also have red squirrels in the garden, and can easily view these from our fantastic 'tree level' deck.
