Extremely disappointing cleanliness and Maintenance of property on arrival. Since home I've read other reviews on another site all raising similar issues as far back as May, which I'm so annoyed at myself for missing before booking this property! On arrival the kitchen floor was dirty with black dog hairs and generally dirty, the mop in the cupboard was absolutely filthy and in such bad condition when it hit the water the sponge practically fell apart! The kitchen table was grubby and had to be cleaned also before we could sit down to dinner. The patio doors were full of marks from either a child or dog! Carpets were stained and dirty with crumbs and dust around the edges. Large cob webs were hanging from above the curtains. Several lights don't work (presumably needing new bulbs!) Both inside the caravan and none at all outside. No welcome pack or instructions so couldn't get the heating to come on and stay on and no idea if there was WiFi or not...we never found any if there was! Worst of all there was a dog poop bag left on the front decking outside the doors. A shocking standard if I'm honest. Not acceptable at all, especially considering previous customers have raised the cleanliness issues and they have not been fixed! The pictures also do not reflect the current standard of the caravan. Beds are thrown together and are not made or presented as shown in the photographs. Cushions on the couch are badly needing replaced. There is also no local shop on site so that's out of date also. Concerning considering we are in a pandemic situation and extra cleaning is supposed to be taking place!?

Lovely spacious caravan, clean, well equipped & in a great location for a family holiday in the Cairngorms. Owner also very helpful & easy to communicate with. Will definitely be back.

Just back from a weekend break at Dayven. We’ve stayed in the Boat of Garten site before but this was a first at Dayven. Firstly the place was very clean and really well equipped. It’s very well specified with lots of storage, double glazing and central heating. The kitchen is really well equipped too. The beds are comfy which is a relief. The location is great, quiet but with easy access to Aviemore. Unfortunately Dow’s site shop is no longer there which is a pity. The village shop should cover most emergencies but is pricey! Make a list and shop wisely in Aviemore is my advice. Finally I must mention Jamie, the owner of Dayven, who went above and beyond. We had an unfortunate family emergency involving my wife taking ill and having to go to Inverness A & E. A quick call to Jamie and he offered me and my two sons an extension to our stay without hesitation. This removed a huge burden from what was a stressful time and we are hugely grateful for this. On customer service alone I would recommend Dayven, the lodge speaks for itself. I would without hesitation recommended Dayven, especially if you have a pet with you. Thank you Jamie 👍

Great accommodation for a 3 night stay. Brought my dog and my mother in law and survived. Clean and good facilities

Was recommend this accommodation by a friend and it did not disappoint. Came over from Ireland with my family and had the best time. Spacious rooms that were spotless. Excellent location. Loads to do for both adults and the children. No problems at all from booking process to checking in and checking out. Would highly recommend this to anyone.

Myself my husband & 2 children stayed at Dayven Lodge in July. Great communication and very clean and tidy. Perfect quiet location with easy access to the surrounding area. Will definitely stay at Dayven Lodge in the future and recommend to everyone.
