This is a perfectly place apartment for having a few days off driving. It is also short driving distances to the beach and pretty villages.
The owners were absolutely fabulous.
A plus is Alice's Gin Palace across the road where the locals made us feel at home.

A great place to stay.

Fantastic apartment & super clean. Don't miss out
Ian and Vanessa couldn't have been more welcoming. It's a super apartment and easily the cleanest place that we've ever stayed at. They'd left milk, tea, coffee, wasing up liquid, sponge ,hair and body wash, moisturiser, CLEAN tea towels, brochures of places to visit, CLEAN towels (and loads of them). The bedding was beautifully clean too, with very comfy beds. It is also very child friendly with there being no stairs to worry about inside and outside there is a seating area with a lockable gate.
We so enjoyed our stay and have so many precious memories to treasure from our holiday here....we just didn't have enough time to do everything that we wanted. Our favourite place to go was Whitby, where my 4 year old son went paddling in the sea, crabbing, met a 'real' live pirate and went for a ride on his boat.
We only left a week ago and are already booking up next years visit here. I can't recommend this appartment enough. Thank you SO MUCH for a wonderful holiday.

Good apartment but poor free parking.
The apartment was clean and modernised and the staff in the complex underneath were very friendly and helpful with the spin dryer they had but at extra cost though.
However, the allocated parking was precarious. Often when we wanted to go out there was a blockage by cars behind, so we could not get out of the parking area. Sometimes when returning there were cars parked by people that should not have, so we could not park up, e.g., one person who had popped into the betting shop near, even though there was a sign saying Private Parking.
On the morning we were departing my husband noticed the rear bumper had been scuffed yet it was not like that when we were emptying the boot the day before with shopping.
Also, this apartment's advertisement may seem to imply to some people that it is in Saltburn by Sea and that it is not far to walk to the sea-front but the apartment (even though Saltburn is in the postal address) is some drive away from the coast-line.

I'm delighted that you found the accomodation clean and comfortable. All my wife and I ever want, it for our guests to have a great time and enjoy the accomodation provided.
It is extremely difficult to control who actually parks upon my carpark.
I provide it for the benefit of my customers, but without actually patroling it, people do take advantage. Notices have little effect, but we do have CCTV.
The property discription upon the TripAdvisor website clearly informs any reader that the apartment is located 4 miles from Saltburn. This is printed within the first few lines of text, which conversley means that the apartment is 4 miles closer to the Yorkshire moors and Whitby.
For any traveller wanting accomodation in the actual centre of Saltburn, we own property located there, however, it will cost twice the price for the accomodation compared to our Loftus apartment, and then those who wish to visit the Yorkshire Moors and Whitby will have 4 miles further to travel.
At the end of the day, we all strive to achieve perfection, and consistently fall short. Your comments and sugestions are very much appreciated, and will help us to improve our service.

Fantastic Town Centre Apartment
What a fantastic town centre apartment. Very friendly owners who meet you at the apartment. The apartment is spotlessly clean, and well equipped. The kitchen has all you could want if you don't eat out. There are storage heaters so if its cold you can turn them up, or if its warm you can turn them down. The living room is comfy and has a table and chairs to eat breakfast / evening meal. Freesat TV so you have plenty of channels, and also WIFI for looking up places to eat. Both bedrooms offer a comfortabl nights sleep. The bathroom is large with a bath, and a shower. Beds are made up and towels provided. When you get here all you have to do is unpack. Its a great base for exploring. Whilst here we visited Staithes, Whitby (a must) , Goathland, Robin Hoods Bay, Ravenscar, Falling Fosse Waterfall and Sandsend is fantastic. Overall a great place to stay, comfortable , clean , warm, well , and well equipped. We are already planning our return journey

A nice place to rest your head after a day out exploring the coast in both directions.

Clean, comfortable and well-appointed
Exceptionally clean and comfortable self-catering apartment entirely suitable for a family of four, two sharing a double room and two in a twin room. Ian, the owner, is a very friendly chap and even drove over to help sort out an access code problem for his wi-fi so that our teenagers could continue their online lifestyles. Central location for visiting the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay, etc, etc. Useful Co-op store opens late just around the corner, sells beer, wine and convenience foods.

everything you need
the flat has everything you need, exceptionally clean and tidy. Bedding and towels changed weekly.
The owners Ian and Nessa can't do enough for you, a credit to both of them.
Would recommend staying here.
