Outside the apartment has a large veranda facing olive groves,vegetale and flower gardens.. Here you can sit in tranquil surroundings, perhaps enjoying the sound of the birds calling to each other amongst the trees. How about a bottle of Mythos, Zorbas or Amstel before embarking on the short walk to the tavernas where you may get a table along the sea. ALMYRIDA Almyrida is situated on the North coast of Western Crete. It lies to the east of Chania City, approximately 15 Km from the ferry port of Souda and about 25km from the airport. Nearby are the small towns of Kalyves and Vamos. The beautiful city of Chania is a short drive away and to the East is the resort of Georgioupoli and a little further away is the ancient city of Rethymno and then the other major airport at Iraklio. A very short distance away and the backdrop to Almyrida is the imposing range of the White Mountains with peaks in excess of 2,400 metres. Armonia Apartments are found on a quiet lane a short distance away from the village centre and also a few minutes walk from the beach. Within a few minutes you can be walking along quiet tracks surrounded by olive groves. Here you can enjoy the peace interrupted by bird song or the calls of the cicada. As you rise out of the village you will get lovely views of the harbour, the village and the surrounding area. During winter and spring you will be able to appreciate the colour contrast of the white snow on the mountains and the clear blue sky. The village is also an ideal place for exploring the Apokoronos area, the southern coast and Western Crete. This is especially so during the off peak periods. For example, you can walk the Imbros Gorge in November, December, January and be unlikely to meet anyone else. The sandy beaches, good weather, beautiful hinterland and the friendliness of Almyrida mean that many visitors return year after year; and some two or three times a year. Here at the Armonia Apartments you can enjoy all the facilities of the village and the comfort of the pleasant apartments and studios. Almirida is an ideal centre for exploring the Apokoronos area of Crete as well as other areas of the island. The area is beautiful and attracts walkers in late winter and spring and again in late summer and autumn. Birdwatchers and botanists are also attracted by the wealth and diversity of the area. Another wonderful relaxing holiday

The apartment was very nice and clean and it was serviced by a lovely lady every other day incuding clean towels and bed linen. The location is only a few minutes walk to the local shops, restaurants and of course the wonderful beach. Lilian made us feel very welcome. All we could want for another relaxing holiday in this lovely town.
