Almirida Corner house is a newly constructed property in Almirida. It faces onto olive groves and is next door to a small complex of 8 apartments. It is located in its own quiet garden area, away from the road. Yet the beach and tavernas are only a 3 minute walk. Flat level area no steep hills or gradients.Almirida is 20 km east of Chania, it is a pretty little seaside village that has two gently shelving sandy beaches fringed by waterside tavernas and a small fishing harbour with quiet rocky coves. We have been to Almyrida many times but I can honestly say that this villa is by far in the best location. It is only a few minutes walk to the shops, bakers, beach, tavernas etc. There is no need to have a car unless you want to go sight seeing. The view from the front of the house is...

Thank you for the review. We do apologise for the lack of a decent garden umbrella and, although a replacement was being purchased at the time of your visit unfortunately it was not delivered to the house during your stay.

We rented the Almyrida Corner House for a week and the biggest problem was we wished it was two weeks. The villa is within easy walking distance of the beach and all the restaurants in the village. Clean, modern, well laid out, well equipped, plenty of space - the perfect holiday villa. A short level walk to the beach, shops and tavernas. A nice (shared) pool. Almirida is the perfect location for a family beach holiday and this is the perfect place to stay. We really enjoyed our holiday.

* Costs are for the villa per week not per person.

* Bookings are normally on a weekly basis.

* However, we will try to accommodate bookings for part weeks ie 10 or 12 days on a pro-rata basis.

* Refundable £150 security deposit for damage, or excessive cleaning is required with final balance payment. The odd broken plate or glass is not a problem.

* We can accept payment by cheque or bank transfer in GBP or Euros.

* We are also content to receive payment by PayPal. This is a very convenient, modern and safe way to pay. However there are charges that are levied to receive funds, and so for the £150 booking deposit the PayPal charges are £5. For the full booking fee (if paid with PayPal) we would ask for £25 to be added for a one week booking, and £50 for two weeks (to enable the Paypal charges to be covered). Flights to Crete arrive at CHANIA (nearest Almirida) and HERAKLION. Flights are more frequent during thesummer months. EasyJet fly to Crete as do a number of holiday charters. Many carriers fly on Tuesday and Wednesdays - so you may get cheaper flights on weekdays, rather than Sat-Sat - We are happy to fit bookings to suit our guests.<BR><BR>Travel by road to ALMIRIDA from CHANIA is 30 minutes or so, from HERAKLION approximately 90 minutes.<BR><BR>Taxi fares vary, but should be around 40 Euros from Chania and 95 Euros from Heraklion. The price of a two-way taxi fare from Heraklion is almost the same as a weeks car hire.
