My guests love experiencing life in a real village with essential amenities close to hand. The locals are friendly and happy to have foreign people all around! I am very happy that all my guests have commented how homely the apartment is and how my tips and suggestions have been helpful to transform and holiday into an “unforgettable holiday”!
All my guests love the authentic village location. This way you get the best of both worlds : world famous Bellagio (top level destination for luxury holidays) very close and the almost rustic charm of Barni, typical Italian little village. During your stay, you will feel you are living in a real community, not just visiting as a tourist…this is the main difference between an holiday and a “true holiday”.
In the village there is 1 restaurant at the top of the hill and 1 bar within easy walking distance. Self-catering is no problem as the kitchen is perfectly equipped and there is a well-stocked grocery a few steps away.
The house is in a strategic position for relax, hiking, walking in the nature and swimming in the lake. Wild nature and great hikes surrounds the area.
At your arrival, you will find the house cleaned and perfumed, the beds made up and a set of fresh towels for each guest.
The house is kid’s friendly.

Interaction with guests: The house is spacious, bright, cozy, welcoming for groups of friends, big families, couples, but to make one's stay very special is my personal knowledge of the area with the opportunity to suggest to my guests (based on their age and interests) sites, hiking trails, beaches of the lake, picnic areas, mountain huts, characteristic restaurants not mentioned in the usual tourist circuits, to explore the charming lake of Como like a local, spending less money and having more fun! I will be happy to share with You my personal knowledge of the area with tips and suggestions, but in addition to this, you will also find inside the house a lot of books and leaflets about where to go and what to do in the neighborhood.
We had a wonderful stay here. The house is so child friendly, with little touches such as providing plastic cutlery and plates for kids and a nappy change area which made travelling with a toddler so much easier. Our little girl loved to play in the garden whilst we enjoyed the views. There is a fantastic child friendly local restaurant a few minutes walk away and day trips to all the best places in the lakes are easily reached. Elisabetta was so friendly and always on hand to help us out. We will return here again and would highly recommend to other families!

Family trip to Lago di Como / Barni
Elisabetta is an exceptional host at first .. and Barni is small authentic village just a short drive from the lake .. the house name says it all - it's kids friendly and kids love it .. the tips from Elisabetta makes your stay 10 times better!!

Sono stato presso il meraviglioso appartamento "Kid friendly" per un servizio di "Professional personal Chef" a domicilio richiesto da ospiti della casa. L' appartamento è situato in una invidiabile posizione panoramica, in prossimità del delizioso centro di Barni. La struttura, finemente restaurata da breve, è ampia, pulitissima, silenziosa ed arredata ad hoc con tutti i comfort necessari per una famiglia. La casa dispone di un grande spazio verde molto curato con un' area dedicata ai bimbi spaziosa ed attrezzata con diversi giochi. Per i grandi vi è un bel patio realizzato in pietra locale, coperto con uno spazioso gazebo e vicino all'area giochi, completato da un fantastico barbecue per poter godere appieno della tranquillità dei boschi che circondano il giardino recintato. I proprietari sono persone squisite, affabili e riservate.
Elisabetta saprà darvi tantissime idee circa numerose attività per la famiglia e per illustrativi la storia, le curiosità e le peculiarità naturalistiche di questa meravigliosa, inaspettata e sorprendente penisola persa tra il cielo e i due rami del Lago di Como, ma comodissima da raggiungere sia da Milano che dalle incantevoli località di Como, Lecco e Bellagio. Bellissimo ed assolutamente consigliato!

Lovely place to stay with the family
We stayed here for 9 nights in the summer. It's a lovely, clean property that worked well for our family of five (including three young children). There are two large bedrooms, each with a double bed and bunk beds, plus a sofa bed in the lounge area. The outside space is great - lots of space, private seating area with large table, toys for the kids, trampoline and a table tennis table.
Location wise, it's on the edge of a quiet, traditional italian mountain village which is not touristy at all. There's a bakery, a little shop, a bar and a restaurant all within a few minutes walking distance (although it is a pretty steep hill up the road to the house). And the locals were very friendly and welcoming. Just like the owner of the property, Elisabetta. They live on site and were on hand to help with whatever we needed. She gave us a really useful overview of the area when we arrived (in good English) and was full of recommendations for things to do around the area and top tips for places to visit and restaurants to try (she was even phoning restaurants for us to try and get us a table to eat on the day we arrived!).
There was plenty to do in the area. I'd say you need a car to get the most out of it. Our activities included visiting Bellagio (about 15 mins), taking the ferries across Lake Como to visit other beautiful lakeside towns such as Varenna (and Castle Vechio), tackling the high ropes courses at Jungle Raider Park, walking in the mountains and relaxing on the lakeside beaches (and paddling in the lake itself).
It really is a stunningly beautiful part of Italy and this property was, for us, the perfect base for exploring it. We had a great time, made even better by the warmth and helpfulness of our hosts - a big thank you to them!

Lovely place and excellent hosts
We hadden hier -samen met onze drie kinderen- een heerlijke vakantie bij Elisabetta en Roberto. De omgeving is prachtig en de tips zijn van onschatbare waarde. Het huisje is goed onderhouden en er is speelgoed in overvloed voor de kinderen. Zowel binnen als buiten. We kregen ook enkele vrienden op bezoek met hun twee kinderen en die hadden het ook uitstekend naar hun zin. Het heerlijke eten van de restaurantjes in de buurt die Bettie voor ons reserveerde waren super. En onze italiaanse gastheren waren erg behulpzaam en stonden altijd klaar om te helpen of tips te geven. Het is inderdaad een van de beste plaatsen om de regio te bezoeken. Een echte aanrader!

Well situated and comfortabel apartment
It was a very special experience to stay with Elisabetta and family in Barni. The apartment (below their house) is spacious and clean and well equipped with all you may need. Betta (as everyone knows her in the town) is a wonderfull host with great ideas and suggestions of places to visit in the area and restaurants to eat at nearby which offer simple, deliscious and very affordable local specialities that the locals come to enjoy as well! Authentic and very memorable!! Dont miss the goat's milk icecream!

Unforgettable experience of a small town in a gorgeous landscape
Elisabetta was the best host a traveler could imagine having. We were a group of nine with no car, and had to use public transport. She helped us get to Barni and to her home, and gave us so much information on where to eat and how to get about. The home truly felt like a home, with a small kitchen and nice dining area. Elisabetta provided us with beverages and coffee, which was a very nice welcoming gift. We had games and movies to invite us to hang out in the house, as well as a garden.Nine of us split two rooms pretty comfortably, and had all the towels and blankets we needed. The only small challenge was sharing one bathroom, but it was fine. I was amazed at how much Elisabetta was willing to help us. She wanted us to really enjoy Barni, and helped us get what we needed to overcome unexpected challenges, like the weather and bus system. She also connected us to the community, particularly with the owners of a local restaurant which we came to love and visited repeatedly. We were sad to leave, we felt so welcome here

Great for groups
The stay was great. The house was in a very good location to explore Lake Como. Elisabetta's help was invaluable, she recommended places to visit, where to park the car and even booked a restaurant for us which we recommend! It was 11 of us (3 children) and there was enough place for everyone, very quiet location and kids enjoyed lots of games outside.

agréable week - end proche du lac de Come
Avec nos amis , nous avons passé un agréable séjour chez Elisabetta et sa famille.
L'appartement est cosy,très propre,tout confort.
Accueil très chaleureux....qui donne envie de revenir,d'autant plus qu'en seulement
trois jours,nous n'avons pas eu le temps de profiter de tous les magnifiques lieux alentours.

Ottima Casa Vacanza immersa nel verde.
Abbiamo soggiornato dal 7 al 9 Aprile, la casa si presenta abbastanza bene: spaziosa (10 posti letto) cucina fornita con 2 fornelli, stoviglie e pentole, ampio tavolo,divano. Un bagno in buone condizioni,di sicuro non il massimo per 10 persone ma facendo a turno..risulta più che accettabile. Letti forniti di tutto. Il giardino a disposizione è molto grande con tavolo da ping-pong, spazio e giochi per bimbi nonché barbecue con mega tavolo e salottino.
Ideale per famiglie con bambini in cerca di relax poco distante da Bellagio.
Il soggiorno è stato gradevole, Elisabetta la proprietaria, gentile e disponibile, ci ha descritto e consigliato i posti da visitare. .. "Se torniamo da quelle parti sappiamo dove andare !"

Barni is one of the little villages in the mountain over Bellagio and Bellagio is one of the most well known towns on the Como Lake, which has always been loved by artists and writers from all over the world. Thanks to its enchanting atmosphere, it has been selected as film settings by famous directors such as Luchino Visconti and Sergio Leone. Also known as “The pearl of the Como Lake“, Bellagio stands in a very amazing position, just on the top of the cape that divides the lake into two branches. And from that spectacular position you can enjoy an astonishing panorama: on one side the deep blue of the lake and its coasts and from the other side the green of the promontory. A romantic and relaxing stroll is perfect to feel the atmosphere of the village, with its old houses, alleys, and high standard shops and restaurants. Bellagio is also famous for its splendid villas: it would be a shame not to visit the neoclassic Villa Melzi and its gardens or Villa Serbelloni with its marvelous park.
