Cottage
Stable is a 4 star barn conversion in local ham stone set in an area of outstanding natural beauty.There are breathtaking views in all directions.We offer excellent walks or quiet restful seclusion,with an abundance of wild life nearby.The Heritage Coast is only 6 miles away and we are peacefully situated off the B3162 Broadwindsor to Bridport road.We are not in the village of Stoke Abbott which is 1 mile away.Stable is capable of sleeping 4 people and are designed to be accessible to wheelchair users.The cottage has a central open plan lounge/kitchen/living area with a double bedded room with ensuite bathroom,at the other end is a twin bedded room with ensuite shower room.Cots and high chairs are available at no extra charge as are linen and towels. Electricity is inclusive

This little gem sits surrounded my the rolling hills of Dorset with plenty of wildlife to look out for. The cottage had everything we needed and accessible for my friend and her dog. The lovely Michael & Lyn live on site but give you the space to enjoy your idyllic holiday. We had the best weeks sleep ever as the beds are amazing and fresh sea air probably helped ☺️

One of two adjoining 2 bed cottages on a farm property, beyond the farmhouse and well away from any road noise, the birdsong is pretty much the only likely thing you will hear. Both bedrooms are doubles, the master is a very large room, both have ensuites. Kitchen/diner has all the amenities needed for self catering, and is open to the lounge. The property is away from the towns, so a car is essential. 10 mins by car to either Beaminster or Bridport, (west bay 5 mins further for the beach). South Dorset is quite hilly, so excellent for the active walker or cyclist, but some of the minor roads are quite narrow.

Location is peaceful and so pretty and green! Accommodation excellent, didn’t turn television on once! Had everything we needed to relax. Played games, tested out local ciders and enjoyed the sunshine. Would recommend for anyone that wants peace and quiet. Really is an escape from the hustle and bustle of life. Wi-fi was weak, but perhaps that’s no bad thing!!

Location wonderful; cottage very clean and tidy on arrival, with plenty of room for 2 people and 2 well-behaved medium sized dogs. Cows opposite window; pheasants galore; buzzards soaring above fields; places to walk dogs; peace and quiet! Very local to the coast; Bridport about 15 mins by car, places on coast a bit longer. Also very convenient for plenty of other locations and attractions in area. Will definitely come again!!

Very comfortable cottage with everything you need for your stay. Set in a very peaceful location with cows in the field opposite & rabbits in the field behind. Owner was very welcoming. Only negatives were not knowing the electricity was on a pay meter - not a problem if we had warning in advance that we would need £1 coins but did not see anything about this in the description when booking. Also be warned, sat-nav took us to the wrong place so if approaching from Bridport do not turn off of main road onto track on left but continue a little further down dip & up again & follow until the next bend & you see the sign for Lewesdon Farm on the right!

Stable Cottage provides fantasic holiday getaway accommodation for all ages. Surrounded by fields with lovely views down the valley, the fields are maintained to provide dog walks whilst other areas are left to encourage wildlife. The owners are very friendly and helpful but not intrusive. There are facilities for anyone who is moderately disabled, it is very well equipped and maintained. The only down side was that there was no Wifi available in the cottage, although residents are welcome to use the owners property to get a signal.
