Cougie Lodge and Carma Brecka - on the edge of Glen Affric Nature Reserve in the Highlands of Scotland. Carma Brecka is a Self Catering Bunkhouse with real rustic charm. Our family home is yours to use as a base to explore the surrounding area and relax whilst being almost completely cut off from the rest of the world. With no phone, no tv, no mobile signal, no internet and only one road in and out (unless on foot!), this really is the great escape. Please note that this is basic bunkhouse self catering accommodation - absolutely no mod cons at all! We don’t have mains electricity and only use a generator for lights, etc in the evening and a small part of the day when necessary. Please bare this in mind when booking :) The bunkhouse sleeps 6 adults in one double and two twin (bunk bed...Cougie Lodge and Carma Brecka - on the edge of Glen Affric Nature Reserve in the Highlands of Scotland. We have a family bathroom with toilet, wash hand basin and a very deep bath! Hot water can be obtained by lifting the wood burning stove in the living room. We are also 13 miles from the nearest shop and 7 of those miles is along a forestry track. More

Melanie works really hard to make sure your every need is met. Cougie hasn't mains electricity, but has power via a generator. The food served is excellent and in large quantities. Beer and wine are also available.

How to get there
From inverness, follow signs for Cannich and then Tomich. Drive through Tomich and Cougie is at the end of a forestry road and can be found by following signs to Plodda Falls and keep going! Once you arrive at Cougie, cross over the two bridges and you’ll see a large metal gate at the bottom of the drive way. At the top of the drive there is a small turning circle and room to park a car.
