Metfield, Suffolk, East Anglia, England
A traditional timber-framed Suffolk cottage that has been lovingly restored by the owner. The cottage has been renovated to retain the original rustic charm of the building and furnished with both antique and modern pieces to give the cottage a charming yet utterly comfortable feel.
One of the oldest dwellings in Metfield, dating back to the 15th century with 16th-century additions. It has a plethora of beams and original floors and a large inglenook fireplace with a wood burner.

The location offers a wonderful setting in the Suffolk Countryside, yet is only a 30 minute drive to Southwold and the Suffolk Coast via the market town of Halesworth, whilst the castle towns of Bungay, Eye and Framlingham are all within easy reach.

The charm of Queenie’s is reflected in the great care and attention given to the design of the cottage, which has...

About the neighborhood
The location offers a wonderful setting in the Suffolk Countryside, yet is only a 30 minute drive to Southwold and the Suffolk Coast via the market town of Halesworth, whilst the castle towns of Bungay, Eye and Framlingham are all within easy reach. There are many footpaths through and around Metfield perfect for exploring. Our son lives on a smallholding behind the cottages and keeps rare breed goats and chickens which he would be delighted to show you.If you want to eat out we can suggest:
The Fox and goose at Fressingfield for a special night out.
The Boarding House , Market place , Halesworth,

Getting around
Neighbourhood overview
Metfield is a small pretty village, set on the edge of the Waveney Valley surrounded by a gently rolling landscape. There are many footpaths around the village and the quiet country lanes make cycling a joy. The community village shop is open every day and stocks a good range of local produce. There is a farmers market held in the village hall the first Saturday of the month and the newly refurbished village hall has a friendly new bar open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings selling local beers. The market towns of Halesworth and Framlingham are both within easy reach and worth exploring.
