Lovely location and perfectly situated to explore. Delightful cottage and grounds
Delightful cottage and really peaceful. Lovely layout and location. Bedrooms are either end of cottage with their own bathrooms so sharing with other adults is brilliant. Lovely locations and walking around the fields and grounds seeing the animals was an added bonus. Definitely recommend!

Needs updating
The property was below standard for the money we paid, we had beautiful weather but couldn't sit outside on the table and chairs has they were 3 in deep in last year's dead leaves.this property was totally unkept ,the paint was pealing of the outside of the window frames and the windows hadn't been cleaned properly they were smeared .inside the wardrobe doors in the twin room were hard to slide, and the wash basin was so small and fixed so far back it was difficult to clean your teeth and for my husband to shave.

A few days away!
Upon arrival Rowena and Declan made us very welcome and this continued throughout our 4 day stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them and we also got to meet their adorable little Border Terrier.
The cottage was homely and spacious and an excellent base to explore the local area and beyond. Fresh homemade scones upon arrival and a great log fire to come back to after a day out and about were great.
We would definitely come back here again and would recommend a stay here if you’re looking for a rural retreat near to Symonds Yat, the Forest of Dean,Ross on Wye and other places in the area.
Thank you both,
Ron and Lindsay.

Brilliant!!
We came back yesterday after a 5 day stay. It’s difficult to emphasise what a perfect cottage in an idyllic position this is. Rowena is delightful and a lovely baker, presenting us with scones, jam and cream on arrival. The location is ideal for travelling around Herefordshire and into Wales. We would highly recommend.

Comfortable and cosy character cottage
We were in the area to visit the National School of Blacksmithing so where else could we stay other than in an ex Blacksmiths forge!
A very comfortable cottage that was lovely and warm even in the depths of winter. A tray of freshly baked scones on arrival were very welcome after our 6 hour cross country journey - thank you Rowena!
Very well appointed with everything you could need for a stay. Kitchen was fully equipped for cooking, logs were provided for the logburner with more available to purchase should you need them. TV and DVD with a selection of DVDs. Also a selection of interesting and quirky books. Wifi worked fine for what we needed it for.
We will definitely stay here again when our son takes up his place at the College! Looking forward to being able to stay for longer next time and explore the area more thoroughly.
Conveniently situated for Hereford and many other places.

A real life Winter's Tale
Turns out this was the perfect place to wait out Storm Emma....!
We booked for 3 nights but the weather had other ideas and thankfully Rowena and Declan accommodated us for another 4 to wait out the worst of it.
What a fabulous place! 2 bedrooms, one either side of the lounge meant that we could put the baby down to sleep in one end of the cottage and night time feedings didn't disturb the others sleeping at the other end.
The location was idyllic in the snow and we enjoyed daily walks/ trudges through the huge snow drifts around the farm with our dog.
The accommodation is very comfortable. Rowena and Declan have thought of everything from logs for the fire to free range eggs, homemade scones on arrival (absolutely delicious- what a treat!) to plastic place settings for the children. It's well stocked with reading material, dvds and games and the wifi and digital tv helped to fill the gap in our entertainment when the worst of the weather hit and we couldn't go outdoors.
Rowena and Declan couldn't do enough to help us, regularly checking we had enough wood for the fire and accompanying us to the local deli shop when we decided to brave it on foot as supplies started to run out. A genuinely lovely family. We have found a gem of a place and will definitely be back next time we visit the area.
Support this local business, you'll be glad you did!

Ticks all the boxes!!
Lovely cottage in a great location makes for a fabulous holiday. A very friendly welcome from Rowena, & the homemade scones were gorgeous. Cottage is extremely comfortable & the layout is great with the bedrooms at either end with the living space in the middle. Everything seems to have been thought of, from Wi-fi to the toiletries in the bathrooms.
Location is excellent, very central for exploring the Wye Valley, nothing seems to far away. Loads of lovely pubs in the area for eating out & a nice little shop about 1/2 mile away.
