A heavenly gite in the Valley of Paradise
In an area the locals call the Valley of Paradise, the Moulin-sur-Cele, is heavenly. Lovely spacious and comfy bedrooms, sitting rooms with a roaring log fire for cool evenings, open kitchen, even a bar, plus pool, games room, your own private beach with canoes, perfect for floating down the river on a sunny day. Truly lovely hosts who are not far away should you want something. The gardens are amazing, a round vineyard - a first for me - spectacular views over the local countryside, waking up to those views is inspirational, makes your soul soar; and watching the sun set with a G&T at the pool - priceless. There's nothing to disturb you at night except maybe the hoot of an owl. This is a bit of a secret part of France, authentic and beautiful, much like the Moulin.

Amazing and secluded property
Incredible character, facilities, river access. Beautiful pool, grass tennis court, croquet lawn, archery. Plus private access to the Cele river with canoes and fishing. Close to the amazing rock art caves at Peche Merle, and various lovely villages in the area. Monica and Patrick looked after us brilliantly.

Idyllic,Tranquil and Rustic French at its best, Le Moulin sur Cele has it all for the perfect holiday!
The location of the house is superb with the river gently flowing beside it with the hammocks placed perfectly for an afternoon nap after a long lunch in the hazy sunshine. The bedrooms and decor of the houses are very chic and most comfortable to sleep in.The pool is surrounded by beautiful flowers and shrubs which are beautifully maintained and the terrace is ideal for dining al fresco. The welcome hamper is a lovely touch with locally produced wines and fresh juice, bread and jam and the kitchen is extremely well equipped with local pottery and cooking utensils.A great selection of books and DVDs are available for use in the evenings.Le Moulin is a place where you will not want to leave once you arrive!

Luxury converted ancient millhouse in magical riverside location
Truly magical location - stunning cliffs and wooded hills surround ancient millhouse situated on banks of the river Cele. It's almost impossible to leave - reading a book in one of the hammocks next to the river, kayaking or paddling (to personal preference) on hot days (the house has its own patch of 'beach' and several canoes), sipping a gin and tonic while playing a competitive game of croquet, early morning tennis, swimming in the walled garden of a pool breathing in lavender and rose blossom... Comfortable beds and pretty interiors, all mod con and 2 sitting rooms (in different houses - ideal for multi parties) meant everyone had space, but we could all get together for fabulous and fun meals. Wonderful staff were unbelievably helpful and the owners are clearly passionate about the place. Unbeatable destination.

About the neighborhood
With just over 15 acres of land, some of which are meadow-land and mature trees. The gentle flow of the river continues to provide a sheltered, bountiful environment teeming with wildlife and will give residence the opportunity to dine on their very own private sandbank.
Enjoy a game of tennis on the grass court or should you feel the need to explore, the valley provides the perfect backdrop for endless bicycle rides, walks and picnics, with the renowned and remarkably beautiful villages of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie and Rocamadour, both within 30 minutes drive.
Getting around
Cajarc is the local town for supplies. It has a beautiful square which has a very good market every Saturday.
The square has a number of high quality boulangeries, charcuteries, wine merchants, delicatessens, a pharmacy, a garage, tabac and a couple of boutique style shops.
It is extremely handy being a 15 minute drive away and serves up a great selection of food.
There is also a Supermarché which is open every day.
Saint-Cirq-Lapopie arguably France’s most beautiful village is a 29 km drive down D41. Saint-Cirq-Lapopie appears to cascade down a steep hill into the river Lot.
