We spent 6 days on board of Kurabesi and wish it was longer! The trip was planned to go from Ambon to Saumlaki, but due to bad weather, we stopped in Banda and returned to Saumlaki because the Captain was afraid the journey to Saumlaki would be too rough on us. However, there was no dissapointments as Ian, the cruise director, planned six dives for us to chase hammerheads in Tanjung Hatta, Karang Buton and Suanggi, in which four of these gave us spectacular sightings of hammerheads. I was caught in downcurrent twice, but with Fahmi watching my group, I was able to escape the currents even with my air getting under 40 bars when I surfaced. Tigor was not hesitant to make Fahmi accompanied me to surface before the others as I was running out of air, and the dinghy was only 5 minutes away, ready to pick us up.
The surface intervals were filled with delicious, glorious food cooked by Chef Raden and his crews, and Malik the intern was always there to make sure our glasses were full and food was enough. The boatmen, especially Pak Dicky, were happy to ferry us having fun on shore or in the water. There was never any need unmet. The cabins, although small, were very comfortable and cleaned everyday. The three lounging areas were available to meet our needs, whether to watch film or listen to music, enjoying the sea breeze in the prow, having a chat around the dining table upstairs or soaking the sun on the top deck.
What Kurabesi has is an excellent crew providing excellent service, making sure everybody is satisfied and has good memories.
I'm looking forward to have other trips on board of Kurabesi
