Perfect place to relax and unwind

We had a wonderful holiday that was made extra special by the lovely owners of villa Dafni. They were so friendly and helpful and Ana kindly made us a dessert one evening that was delicious. Everything was provided in the villa including a welcome pack of food on our arrival. The villa is ideally located just 5 minutes walk from the beach. There are also a great selection of shops and tavernas nearby too. I would recommend hiring a boat for the day to explore the hidden beaches on the island of Kefalonia and Ithica. We will certainly be returning.

Stunning

My husband and I have just arrived home after a wonderful 9 days in Kefalonia. Sami Villas were perfect, we stayed in Daphne and had everything and more that we needed, including a great package of goodies on arrival! Andreas is a wonderful host, very helpful and attentive, Anna, the cleaning lady was also very friendly, smiley, and generous, giving us homemade food regularly. It is the perfect base, we could walk to the taverna’s etc and beach. We hired a car which we would recommend, and enjoyed many of the beautiful beaches and sights of the island, it is so stunning, the food great and cheap, the people warm and friendly. This is a perfect holiday destination, and May a good time of year to visit, weather a perfect temperature and there were no crowds. The garden at the villa was very well kept with beautiful flowers, it was incredibly peaceful, lots of birdsong and an extremely friendly cat. A big thank you to Andrea’s and Anna for making our stay so special.

Perfect honeymoon stay

We had an absolutely perfect stay at Villa Dafni - we booked fairly last minute for our honeymoon due to our original plans having to change, and from the outset nothing was too much trouble for Elli. She arranged our airport transfers, allowed us to check out later, and looked after our bags for us while we went into Sami due to a late flight. There was also a wonderful welcome package waiting for us when we arrived, making our honeymoon feel even more special! The villa itself is lovely, with a private pool and it’s only a short walk to Sami where there are lots of great tavernas to choose from. We’d particularly recommend Deco, Il Familia, Contessina for restaurants & Manifico is a lovely cocktail bar. We can’t recommend Villa Dafni highly enough and hope to be back one day - thank you Elli for making our honeymoon perfect!

Perfect!

The location of this villa is superb. Just a short stroll along the beach to the bars and cafes in either Karavomilos or Sami. Elisabeth was an excellent hostess, huge thanks to Anna for the delicious mousaka & tiramisu and the pool was well looked after by Dimitris. We had a truly wonderful holiday and would come back in a heartbeat.

Delightful Daphni - a gem!

What a delightful villa; it’s got everything you need for a special stay - tastefully furnished, comfortable bed, fresh linen and towels, a full welcome pack to get you started and settled in! Efficient air-conditioning! Situated in a quiet and peaceful cul-de-sac, with attractive and well-maintained gardens. There’s a private pool - but remember to bring your insect repellents! It’s a very short walk to a quiet beach and the sea! The shops are a reasonable walking-distance away! A relaxing meal on the water’s edge at the Karavomilos restaurant, with its delightfully friendly staff, is a must! And what makes this villa holiday special is it’s host, Elli. She is a delight; warm, friendly, helpful - and always on hand or available to answer questions/deal with issues! Ideal for a quiet and restful holiday!

Perfect holiday villa

We stayed at the villa for a week with our 2 children and we all loved it. We were warmly welcome by Elli who was so nice and friendly during our stay. The villa was spotless and very comfortable. It was very well kitted, nothing was missing to cook and even bbq. The fridge had a huge welcome pack with eggs, butter, milk, wine beer, etc.. much more than one could expect. We felt at home right away and everything seems really easy which is what you want for your holiday. The pool was very enjoyable and despise the fact that there were other villas nearby it was very private. It is very well located to enjoy sami s port and restaurants and on the other side agia effemia. Lots of lovely little creeks to explore with not many people around even in mid July. We highly recommend it.

Great accommodation in a fantastic location

The location of these villas is simply perfect. Firstly they are set in beautiful well kept gardens, each of the four villas being very private with its own pool and space. The beach is literally 50 metres away and though it may not be the best on the island there were days when we virtually had it to ourselves, so peaceful. All amenities are within walking distance in Sami, plenty of restaurants, some very good especially on a fine evening when the suns gone down. There is a fantastic walk across to the famous Antisamos Beach, up and over the hills via the ancient Acropolis which we did. It’s a bit strenuous in the heat but great fun through the wooded trail. Elli and Michael are brilliant hosts, we have stayed in villas all over Greece but never have we felt more welcome. It is so nice to arrive to a well stocked fridge plus bread, fruit, jams etc. Elli even brought us water to save us carrying it from the shop. Thank you Elli for a wonderful stay, we hope to return.

A truely relaxing, peaceful and tranquil holiday

I had already decided to organise a car hire from the airport, which can be a bit daunting travelling in a area that you've never visited before, but Elisabeth's directions were accurate and direct. On arrival the villa was smart and homely, Elisabeth and Michael took care to make sure there was some food in the fridge ( wine, beer, water, cheese, ham) bread and fresh fruit in the cupboard. A really nice touch. This was typical of Michael and Elisabeth, very thoughtful and wonderful hosts. The villa facilities were perfect, swimming pool and patio area was clean. The bar b q cooker was clean, and a stock of charcoals was supplied. The holiday location is in a beautiful site, wonderful views of the mountains, beautiful gardens close to the sea. Situated in walking distance to the small port of Sami and in the opposite direction the village of Karavomilos. Travelling by car was easy at this time of year, very little traffic, but the weather was perfect. I'm looking forward to next year.

Perfect Holiday Villa / Getaway

We returned again this year to this fabulous Villa. Our hosts Michael and Ellie are just terrific, they really make us feel not only welcomed but like family. They are more than happy to assist you with all your questions regarding restaurants, car hire or places of interest as well as ensuring you have an adequate welcome pack and understanding of the weather conditions, ie you need a hat the sun is hot! The Villa is perfect, well equipped, serviced twice a week, great pool (always clean and well serviced), beds are very comfortable and even better only metres from the beach and 5 to 10 minute walk into Sami. There are 4 Villas on the property and they all have their own private pool, so you never really see the other guests. It's a very peaceful location, with only the sounds of the waves on the beach or the bells from the sheep to be heard. We would highly recommend these Villas and hope to return again.

Gorgeous apartment in gorgeous place

Had a lovely stay in Elizabeth's apartment. Very near beach and bakery and only 10 minute walk to Sami. Very peaceful place. We really appreciated the welcome pack as well. Elizabeth was very helpful in getting us local fish as well to cook on the BBQ.

The Villas are located beside the sea at Karavomylos, district of Sami on the island of Kefalonia. The island of Kefalonia is situated on the western side of central Greece in the blue – green waters of the Ionian Sea. The area of Sami has truly been blessed by nature. Lush vegetation, crystal-clean running waters, emerald beaches, picturesque villages, and a great variety of underground caves and lakes, compose a locale that never fails to capture the visitor's attention. The resort is situated in a quiet rural area only 50 metres from the beach and 1 kilometre from the tourist centre of Sami. It is offered for holidaying in a friendly environment, in an area of rare natural beauty. Places of interest include Melissani Lake, Drogarati Cave, Kefalonia Museums and Churches, Agios Gerasimos.
