Bring your mountain bike and explore 350 acres of trails. Bring your binoculars to observe dozens of of endemic and migratory birds. Bring your hammock to nap in the afternoon sun. A secluded campsite sits in the center of the coffee farm. The campsite is best accessed with a 4x4 vehicle. Available to guests at the campsite are an outdoor kitchen, potable water, wood fired stove, an outdoor shower, and two rustic shelters for sleeping and lounging. Caribbean Mountain get-away
If you’re looking to have a vacation where you wake up to the sounds of birds singing their morning song, and see the fog slipping away down the mountain and into The Valley below. This is the get away you are looking for. The trek up the mountain is an experience in its own, but the glorious views and the feeling of filling your lungs with clean crisp air is all worth it. You wake up and see the trees covered in a white wet layer of mountain fog from that night. You feel the warmth spreading through the atmosphere as the sun rises into the sky. The feeling of being disconnected from the outside world and connecting your senses with the earth is a sensation worth awakening again. The raw feeling of being human, waking up when the sun rises and closing your eyes with the sun sets and the moon dances in the sky. Spirit Mountain offers a place where you can take either your whole big family + friends or an intimate escape with your signifícate other. Spirit Mountain has access to tree houses where you can observe birds in their habitat. Also a trail leading to a beautiful waterfall that you can swim in it’s pool of water that it forms beneath the fall. Spirit Mountain offers an opportunity to be educated in the process of coffee growing, picking, and drying stages. My favorite activity to do in Spirit Mountain is to close my eyes and try to tune into all the sounds around me. The grass moving, the crickets singing, the birds talking, the water streaming down the mountain. All these sounds that I find hard to hear in my busy life away from these Caribbean Mountains. Spirit Mountain is a great place to hike, go mountain biking, swimming, and to just kick your feet up, pop open a good book and relax. I highly recommend this incredible place that offers so much peace and tranquility in your day. Spirit Mountain is a place where you feel the chill air in the evening and spend your day in shorts and a T-shirt. The best of both worlds.

Un paraiso en la montaña.
Spirit Mountain es un lugar muy acogedor para usted disfrutar y vivir una aventura en familia, amigos, grupos o asolas si asi lo desea. Usted no se puede perder la oportunidad de visitar éste paraiso en la montaña, Estancia Natura at Spirit mountain. Usted podra presenciar el mas bello amanecer con un lindo despertar del cantar de los pájaros y el silbido del viento entre los árboles, y mientras disfruta de un cafecito caliente, siente el aire puro y fresco que te ofrece Spirit mountain. Ven a vivir esta aventura!!! En Spirit Mountain tienes la oportunidad de ver las plantas, árboles y aves mas exoticas del país. Date cita a éste paraiso en la montaña y no te arrepentirás.. TELO GARANTIZO..

Perfect location to spend a weekend in the fresh Dominican mountain weather
Been camping there for the past 10 years and only have good and memorable experiences. Bring friends and enjoy a warm cup of coffee by the fire or spend excellent solitude time in nature, an unique adventure is always guaranteed at Estancia Natura .

About the neighborhood
Spirit Mountain Coffee Plantation is an organic coffee farm that we purchased in 2003 with a dear friend, Jeff Loftsgaarden. It is in a tropical area, so you can expect rain and warm weather year round. Endemic and migratory birds make the coffee canopy their home. Bring your binoculars to see how many varieties of birds you can spot! Spirit Mountain is an active coffee farm and our harvest is October through May. You will likely see our staff in action taking care of the coffee crop.
Getting around
A 4x4 vehicle is STRONGLY recommended. We receive a large amount of rain, which can make the roads difficult to navigate. There are no stores or restaurants nearby, so be sure to bring plenty of food and water for your stay. Firewood is available upon request. Potable water is also available from the outdoor kitchen. The campsite has no electricity, either. Spirit Mountain has a downhill mountain bike track. Gear is not available at the campsite, so bring your bike and full face helmet to enjoy this ride. There are a number of hiking trails all over the farm to enjoy. If you are new to the Dominican Republic, Spirit Mountain is located about 2 hours from Santiago de los Caballeros (which has an international airport).

How to get there
Finding Spirit Mountain can be a challenge! Follow the highway from Jarabacoa to Manabao. Once you pass the public school in Manabao, take the main dirt road to the right that leads you to Angostura. The creek will be on your left as you drive up towards the farm. (Keep looking for brown and white signs that point to Spirit Mountain.) Continue for 3 kilometers or so. The road will get continuously more 4x4 as you progress up the road. Cross over the 'baden' that goes over the creek and continue up the 4x4 road to the entrance of the coffee farm. Our property managers, Deivy and Rossy, live in the house just before the entrance. Stop and check in with them before continuing onto the property. Once inside the coffee farm, follow the main road up to the right to the campsite. If it has been raining, you will need a 4x4 vehicle to get in and out of the campsite.
