The Apartment complex is a fully gated private complex just minutes from the sea front. It is a small, friendly and welcoming place where you will always find a space to relax by the pool. From the complex a very pleasant walk leads you to the marina where you can relax and enjoy a drink while watching the boats. In the other direction this sea front walk leads to San Blas the centre of Golf del Sur where there are two large piazas with plenty of good restaurants.There are also restaurants within a 2 minute walk .There is a wonderful Golf course nearby and also tennis courts and crazy golf as well as putting green and driving range.There is also a very good bus service linking 'The Golf' with many other places on the island. If a car is hired there is underground parking in the complex.

Fantastic clean apartment
Just back from a weeks holiday in duquesa with my partner and 2 young children (4 & 1) had an absolute ball. We went with a big family group who were all staying in the same complex which was perfect. The complex itself is beautifully maintained and clean. The pool is gorgeous and just the right size for what we wanted you could see the children no matter where you were. As for the apartment it was clean modern fresh and ant free..!!!! The balcony couldn't of had a better view of the pool and is literally about 10 steps down to the pool with lifts also available handy for buggys.!! The balcony was huge with comfy furniture and the gate on it made it like a giant playpen for my 1 year old no chance of him escaping.we spent most of our days sitting out here. There is one bedroom with double bed ensuite and huge fitted wardrobe with its own balcony entrance. The living area/kitchen was spacious and had all modern appliances that we needed. There is a seperate bathroom with shower perfect for family of 4 trying to get ready to go out. The location is in a quiet area but with plenty of restaurants and bars within 10 min walking distance. The wild geese pub is right underneath the apartment block which serves beautiful food and has a nice games area for the kids , the staff are also lovely. I couldn't recommend this apartment more highly I will definitely be returning in the future and the owners are a pleasure to deal with couldn't have been more helpful . Leanne Downey

Perfect
Excellent apartment. Clean, spacious with a fantastic balcony with comfortable furniture. We could have quite easily lived and slept out there. Everything you need in the apartment. Very comfortable bed. It was great having two bathrooms. Water machine on complex very useful. Pool area lovely. The owner , Carmel, easy to deal with. All in all probably the best apartment we have stayed in and we have stayed in many. Highly recommended. Would definitely return.

DE STRESS AND RELAX IN LOVELY PEACEFUL SURROUNDINGS
this is one of our favourite places we have stayed we have 11 and 12 year old .the pool is fantastic the complex is spotless.plenty of great restuarants but also the luxury of cooking if you want not on a silly two ring thing you get in some self catering places.we were very impressed with how quiet it was at night .No loud shouting as people returned we heard no noise at all at night.we have stayed in 5* all inclusives and they were noisy .It is great for families or if you want to de stress and relax in the lovely weather and pool.the bonus for us was the great balcony with lovely sofas.we sat there most evenings chilling out.
Gerry and Carmel are a delight to deal with..I would recommend a car as lidls and iceland are u the top f the road.so much cheaper than nearby shops.we paid £100 for 11nights with Thrifty car hire.great comlex and apartment

Lovely accommodation, didn't want to leave...
We stayed here for 11 days and loved every minute of it. We were very impressed with the apartment and had a very comfortable stay there. The location was ideal. Only a 15 minute walk to the local square and a pebble beach about 5. The apartment is directly above the pool, which is ideal if you are wanting to spend a lot of time there. Overall we were very impressed and will certainly be coming back in the near future.

A top quality apartment with everything you need for a very comfortable and enjoyable holiday. The apartment has a fantastic balcony with views over the lovely pool and the whole complex is maintained to a very high standard.
Golf del sur is a great place to holiday. There are plenty of places to visit within walking distance and the bus stop and taxi rank are both just outside the complex entrance.

Perfect place to relax!
The apartment is centrally situated in the complex and right above the pool, extremely peaceful and the residents are a lovely friendly bunch. The complex is spotless with a fantastic team who work throughout the week maintaining the pool and grounds. The apartment has everything you could need for a comfortable stay and the ceiling fans are a godsend when its warm at night! Carmel and Gerry are very quick to respond to any queries and offer advice when needed, they are happy to help with anything and make booking so much easier. We will definitely be staying again! Thank you Carmel and Gerry for letting us share your little piece of paradise! xx

Delightful apartment in great location.
My daughter and I were thrilled by how attractive the apartment was, as was the whole complex. There were lifts on all the different levels for anyone who can't manage stairs or even just to take your luggage or shopping up/down in. I loved that you could access the beautiful spacious terrace directly from the bedroom as I like to get up when the sun wakes me and sit out to read a bit before my shower and breakfast. It's a peaceful time of day when the only activity is the cleaners going about their business of keeping the complex spotlessly clean although there was never any noise; it's one of the most calm and relaxing places I've been to. The apartment was very nicely and comfortably furnished and the sleep quality was wonderful. The terrace has lovely cane conservatory furniture rather than the usual plastic table and chairs so it was a joy to sit out there in style and comfort among a selection of beautiful pot plants. One had a massive flower head of deep pink and it seemed to nod to you in the occasional breeze; a real beauty. The apartment sits one level above and overlooking the pool so it's a nice view but a wee bonus was that the Xmas decorations were put up while we were there so as darkness fell our view was of a Xmas tree and lots of gorgeous lighting from end to end of the large pool area. There are shops and restaurants close by but if you go out the back of the complex and turn left there are a few other little supermarkets and Sunningdale village which is nice to see. We like to do our own cooking but we had Chinese takeaway from the restaurant opposite a couple of times and the Wild Geese pub directly below does good meals. We love the coastal walk into San Blas and had afternoon tea twice at Hattie's in San Blas. The service is excellent and so friendly and the homemade cakes etc. are to die for! My only complaint is that the week went far too quickly and we wished we had been able to book for 2 weeks; another time hopefully but we shall definitely return. Gerry and Carmel were a pleasure to deal with and gave us great instructions for our arrival and hints and tips for eateries etc so a massive thanks to both of them and we look forward to returning to this gem of a place as soon as we can.

excellent holida
What a wonderful apartment and complex everything you need for a home from
home. Everything was melted clean and tidy apartment had everything you
needed . We had a great time finding all the places to eat especially the steak
night on Mondays at wild geese pub under the complex .We would highly
recommend the apartment and the complex and hope to come back next year.

Many Happy Returns!
My daughter and I couldn't wait to return to this wonderful apartment but this time it was for 10 days rather than a week. It was the best feeling ever when we stepped inside and found the same beautiful interior with the addition of a brand new ultra modern washing machine which plays a tune to let you know the wash has finished. Once unpacked and settled we poured a drink and headed outside to the huge terrace to that nice comfortable conservatory furniture and just relaxed in style. We are not great sleepers normally but we both slept so well. I'm not sure if it's the comfy bed plus having the fan on low that makes us sleep so well but we even had the occasional nod-off during the day while sitting on the terrace but I think the complex is so peaceful that you cannot help but relax. The maintenance staff kept up their usual great standards as the place was always spotless and the gardens perfectly kept. There is a lift just accross from the front door so anyone with walking difficulties can get down the one level to the pool. We took a walk along the coastal path to Los Abrigos and thought it was a lovely old fishing village with a row of fine seafood restaurants and there's a good little spot for a swim. There has to be something for everyone whilst staying at Duquesa Del Mar as there are several good restaurants locally, but if you feel like trying further afield then it's a nice walk to San Blas and Los Abrigos and if you don't want to do the coastal path the route via the road is nice and scenic too with the golf course and Sunningdale Village on one side and the road isn't busy. We went to the bar at the Marina one afternoon after walking back from Los Abrigos because each time we've stayed in Golf Del Sur we've wanted to try it for the panoramic view and it certainly was a superb view of the sea, the golf course and the marina. Again our time was up all too soon but we shall definitely return for a longer stay. Thanks to Carmel and Gerry for all their help with any questions we had and for their extreme kindness. Wishing you both the very best for the future.
