We had a lovely stay at Unit 2 Amarilla Golf Villas. We arrived early and our apartment was still being cleaned so we were given a free drink from the bar whilst we waited. When we got into the apartment we could not believe the space and the quality! It was incredible! And the views are to die for! All this and TV with every channel you could possibly think of! We spent long lazy days lying on our private terrace, occasionally going for a swim in the pool and getting a drink from the bar. Thank you Angelo as at the bar who looked after us all week and was happy to answer any questions we had. These apartments are really popular so we have already booked again for next year. Can't wait!

Had a lovely time at Amarilla Golf Villas. We were welcomed on arrival by the friendly on-site staff and shown into the villa and how to use the wi-fi / TV etc. (I know you don't go on holiday to watch TV but there were so many channels it was amazing. My husband was very happy to be able to watch the ashes on Sky sports!) The villa itself is exactly as advertised and very high quality. I read the review before to say that there were a few things missing in kitchen but clearly this has all been rectified. We ate in most nights and found everything we needed to prepare meals. It was so nice to wake up in the morning and enjoy the wonderful views. We enjoyed an early morning swim most days. The on-site bar is very nice and we ate lunch on most days at the restaurant and found the food to be very good and well priced. The staff were very friendly. We met the owner of the development, Marcos and shared a drink with him. Lovely chap. The development is a 10 min walk from the marina with plenty of bars and restaurants. We didn't eat out but there seems to be something for everyone. We enjoyed some lovely coastal walks - particularly to the next village of Los Abrigos. We had such a relaxing time at Amarilla Golf Villas and would like to say thank you to Marcos and his staff for such a wonderful holiday. We have already re-booked for next year!

Our stay here was for 2 weeks in August 2019. The views of the sea and golf course were beautiful. The pool was a good size but unfortunately was very cold. The pool needed maintenance in some areas as tiles were missing around the inside edge and on the bottom of the pool. There were also a few big tiles on the edge of the steps that were dangerous if someone tripped over them. I noticed reviews last year have mentioned this but these still haven’t been done. The pool is also VERY DIRTY around the edges and in the channels where the water overflows (unfortunately can't download the pictures on here). These tiles should be white and are actually brown. This didn’t stop us using the pool as it was very hot but we stayed away from the edge area. We felt we were being watched by people not actually staying at the villas, as they could come and use the restaurant. This didn’t feel private when bathing or using the pool. Felt we were being watched. They sat anywhere in the restaurant area. It states in the information on the unit 2 villa, that there are 3 bedrooms with ensuites. There is only 1 bedroom with an ensuite; the other two bedrooms don’t have them. There is a shared bathroom (only with shower) on the landing for the other 2 bedrooms. The other shower room is DOWNSTAIRS near the front door and walking up or downstairs, if wet, is dangerous on the marbled floor; take care. The information states the units are luxury and of the highest quality with hotel style facilities such as an on-site manager. First, the unit we stayed in (unit 2) looked as though it hadn’t been finished, (unable to include photos). There were still door wedges and brown foam sticking out of the doors and windows outside and holes were knocked out of the ceilings outside on the balcony and on the outside terrace to put in lights and then left unfinished. Crockery and utensils were all different. We only had 4 mugs for 6 people; we had to ask at the restaurant for 2 more mugs, as the other cups were cups and saucers not mugs for coffee/tea. Not sure many people use small cups and saucers on holiday (the odd few). The kitchen is equipped with a cooker, microwave and hob but unfortunately there was only 1 baking tray to cook on, so we had to use the grill pan (this still wasn’t enough). I would expect this unit, as it states it is luxury, to have 6 of everything that matches and not have to chase staff for extra items; they should already be in the villa. We arrived on a Friday and therefore expected the bed linen and towels to be changed after a week. This was not the case and had to ask at the restaurant. They called the cleaner and was told she’d change them Monday. After asking again if they could be done that day, the cleaner still said Monday. We weren’t happy about this, as we were leaving on the Friday. Thought the paying customer always came first! Not in this case. I’d just like to say though, the staff at the restaurant were always polite and helpful and my hat goes off to them. They not only have to look after guests staying here (and outside guests), but they’re also expected to sort out our problems etc. Didn’t see the manager again during our stay, only on arrival. We had a really bad leak in one of the showers and it leaked downstairs near electrics. When we contacted the Manager and he said he’d get someone out the following day. So much for urgent attention and safety! Needless to say we didn’t use this shower again. A bit of TLC and urgent attention would bring this villa up to the luxury standard it’s advertised as. The views were brilliant, it’s just a shame the villa didn’t quite have that luxury. If you want to eat out, be prepared to walk. San Blas is approx. 25 mins away in the heat or you’ll have to pay out for taxes to go further afield. We were expecting to walk but not so far and didn’t want to keep paying out for taxes. We’d say it’s more of a holiday for adults as there isn’t really a lot for children to do here. Once again, only if you want to pay out for trips to Siam Park or Jungle Park but these are further away and can be costly to get in as well as paying out for a taxi. A hired car would be advisable if you want to go out. We did enjoy the holiday but it could be improved. The Manager says he listens to the customers’ comments in the reviews but needs to actually act on them.

Stayed in August 2019. Fabulous apartment with fabulous views but could be extra special if it had a little tlc. Some bits of the apartment seem unfinished. Advertised as 3 rooms with ensuite. This is not the case. Main bedroom is ensuite. 2nd bedroom has seperate bathroom and 3rd bedrooms bathroom is downstairs( shower head sprayed everywhere). Crockery and cutlery were mismatched. Advertised to accommodate 7 but only 6 beds. There was a Travel kettle which we had to keep reboiling/ 1 baking tray in oven/ only 4 mugs. Not a lot in the area to keep you amused. Few restaurants, few shops. Not good to keep children amused. Great if you just want to play golf or chill out. Pool is a great size but does look a bit grubby. Only cleaned once a week. Stayed for 2 weeks and had to ask for sheets and towels to he changed. Owner relies on the staff in the restaurant to sort any issues but they're busy. Didn't like the fact that anyone could use the restaurant and sit and watch you in and around the pool. Had a great holiday but could have been better.

What a beautiful setting, wonderful views, very relaxing and pleasant staff close by. Nothing too much trouble for them, you only have to ask.Spotlessly clean and a lovely pool, although very cold not heated. Plenty of nice local bars and eating places close by. Had lovely neighbours throughout our stay always a bonus. Would book to stay here again if need an apartment of this size, my family loved it

Really good accommodation! Well located in Golf del Sur area and exactly as described, has amazing views. Very clean villa, everything you may can need for your holiday. There is no washing machine but there is no need for it. Laundry service worked great! Everything was returned next day. There was 4 of us on a golf holiday and the place was perfect. 2 golf courses very close by and after a day at the golf course returning to the villa and taking a swim at the very nice pool was great! Marcos and his team are very nice and helpful. We were very satisfied! For example, the new dishwasher stopped working for some reason and it was fixed right of way. We came back from the golf course and it was working again! After checking out in the morning we didn't have our flight until the same evening but Marcos arrenged us a place to take our luggage and it even had bathroom and shower. Just fantastic service! We definitely recommend this place especially when you are traveling as a group or as a family and are seeking for a bid more comfort to relax your stay.

Just got back home after 4 fabulous weeks in No 2 Amarilla Golf Villas. It really was one of our best ever holidays. This was due to a few things. Firstly the absolutely amazing location. The views are outstanding. Secondly the accommodation. No 2 was perfect. We did have 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms just for the 2 of us, but we like space. We also had a look around No 1 and No 3 and they were also fab. Thirdly we had some fantastic neighbours who were next door the whole of our stay. We weren’t together all of the time but they definitely enhanced our holiday, and we would be more than happy if they were our holiday neighbours again. We loved the place so much, we have booked No 2 for the same 4 weeks next year. Some friends came up to see us and loved it so much they have booked No 3 for 2 of our weeks next year. Last but not least, I have to mention the fantastic team that Marcos has on hand on site. Onofre the Maintenance Man was around most of the time. He was smiley and very professional and helpful at all times. Begona was a fantastic cleaner and again always friendly and helpful. Marina also did an excellent cleaning job. The Bar on site is also a perfect addition. All of the staff Isa, Ulises, Davel and Angelo were all professional and helpful at all times. We used the bar for drinks with our lovely neighbours and we also ate there too. Very good. I would recommend Amarilla Golf Villas to any of my friends

Although this is a lovely villa it's not 5 star!! There's no smoke or carbon alarms in the apartment, you also need a welcome pack as you've got no information about anything, fire assembly, local doctors, emergency numbers, how the washing facility works, how any appliances work, local shops, when your bedding is changed, when your towels are changed etc. We never saw any pool towels in the 3 weeks we were there (I had to get my own) The view from the main bathroom is stunning although I got the shock of my life when I realised the penthouse suit can see straight into the room!! Thank god my 2 girls didn't use it before I realised! The pool area isn't safe for younger kids, no barriers up or life reserve on display! These are very simple things to resolve and I hope management take these criticisms and make the changes! As the apartment stands just now I really couldn't recommend this apartment!

Got here by accident. We had booked a large villa for eight of us in our own rooms and were let down literally at the last minute, Fortunately I, as organiser, aws already on the island and had some local contacts. Denise at Homes and away (bless her, highly recommended if you want to buy or sell on the island) introduced us to Marco. He bailed us out even though complex wasn't officially open! He went out of his way to make the stay brilliant, which it was, so much so we are booked again this year and will see him again soon,.
