Cosy stay in a rural corner of Wales
Cosy cottage situated on a quiet side road. It's possible to park on the verge, or right by the front door. The cottage consists of a lounge/kitchen/dining area and an ensuite bedroom - perfect for a couple looking for a few days away. No central heating, but a large gas fire in the main room (together with several electric heaters) keep the place warm. The garden would have been a delightful place to sit out of an evening, had we not stayed in mid-November! Owner was helpful and friendly. We hope to make it back to the Little Barn soon!

Little barn
Stayed here for 4 days and was lovely. The barn was lovely and clean and the area is beautiful. Nice and quiet and amazing views. Owners were really nice and helpful and were happy to sort out anything if needed. Place was easy to find and would definitely recommend.

Both host and home fantastic!
First of all a massive thanks to Rob and Mandy for being so helpful and hospitable, really went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The barn is lovely, particularly the garden, all much nicer than the photos. The location is also excellent, Usk is very nearby and a wonderful spot. If only the Welsh weather was better!

Clean . comfortable and cosy
Beautiful country location . Convenient centre fot Usk , Chepstow , Monmouth , Tintern Abbey , Abergavenny and Raglan.The barn had everything we needed and had been converted to a high standard.

Cosy cottage in the countryside
Me and my partner spent two nights at this lovely cottage tucked in the Welsh countryside. The hosts were brilliant and welcoming. Beautiful views and quick trip to Usk Village. Don’t overlook this gem!

Perfect Location Great Facilities
A fantastic location with wonderful views from the patio. The Little Barn was very comfortable and immaculate. Mandy and Rob were wonderful hosts nothing was too much trouble. Thank you both for a wonderful stay.

Excellent Christmas Hideaway
Immaculate accommodation for two in a beautiful, quiet location. We were made most welcome, and everything was perfect for Christmas with family, who live locally. We will return, without doubt. NJSS

Relaxing break
Lovely relaxing break, stayed 2nights in this lovely, peaceful location, the little barn is very well presented and clean, couldn't ask for anything more, lovely welcome and hospitality xx close to usk and other amenities xx definitely recommend x

lovely cottage, brilliant view
We only stayed two nights at The Little Barn but will go back and stay longer next time. Very clean and everything we needed was provided in the cottage. Wonderful views across the valley from the garden. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful break. Quiet location with easy access to major roads leading to Cardiff etc

About the neighborhood
Monmouthshire is on the border between England and Wales and has a diverse landscape and history. It reaches from the lower valleys of the Usk, Wye and Severn to the upper reaches of the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons. The town of Usk is famous for its lovely river walks, fishing and its beautiful flower displays. There are numerous restaurants and pubs in the town where you can enjoy excellent cuisine. Or, if you want to stay at 'home' you can find delicious local produce at the Farmers Market that is held every fortnight and in the local shops. Being a border county there are many castles to visit and even further back in history the Romans set up camp in nearby Caerleon where a Roman Ampitheatre can still be clearly seen. Whilst enjoying the peace and quiet of this corner of Wales you are still close enough to the capital of Wales, Cardiff to make a visit. There you can experience sporting events at the famous Millenium Stadium, 'shop 'til you drop', enjoy the nightlife or even visit Cardiff Bay with it's many restaurants and entertainments
