We loved staying in this beautiful and very historic building. The main living area and master bedroom (accessed by a spiral stone staircase) are simply fantastic. The property is accessed through a stone archway which leads you into a large and very private courtyard surrounded by the old estate buildings. There is a large terrace to the front of the building with table and seating for 8. There is also a separate dining space shaded from the sun. The property is just down the road from Richelieu, which is a lovely little town with a good supermarket. For families there is a brilliant public swimming pool just down the road at St Gervais. Our only minor criticism of the property would be that the kitchen is small and sparsely equipped, with just a hob and no cooker. However, there is a barbecue outside for which the owner provides free fuel, so for us this was not a problem.
