Grant Cottage combines a traditional appearance with modern and recently refurbished interiors. The cottage is well-appointed with a 3 Star award form Visit Scotland and offers comfortable accomodation comprising two bedrooms (main bedroom with king size bed and second twin-bedded room), bathroom with bath and shower over, well-equipped kitchen and living room. All rooms are on the ground floor with on and off-street parking available, as well as a pretty, secluded garden.

Fantastic,, cottage is so clean,, well decorated,, very comfortable. Ideally situated for all restaurants, shops etc. lovely walks,, lots to do. Jean is very welcoming and ensures that her guests have everything they need, even down to a welcoming tray of tea and biscuits on arrival. Thanku xxxx

We have. Stayed in the cottage twice now and it's been excellent, located in a very friendly village wonderful scenery and owner is a lovely lady nothing too much trouble well done 😃😃😃😃

We have stayed here twice now we have 18month old twin boys and have stayed there since they were 11 months old the cottage is all one level so child friendly as no stairs to worry about also the rooms are next to each other .. The 2nd room was a good size to fit out 2 travel cots and...

About the neighborhood
Visitors should enjoy some of the marked walks in order to appreciate the wealth of wildlife and traditional countyside. The Lecht offers winter and summer activites for families, while the Glenlivet and other distilleries offer tours in season (it is advisable to check on thier seasons, and there are age restrictions on some tours).

Beautiful Ballindalloch Castle, seat of the Macpherson-Grant family should not be missed (from Easter to October usually). In the summer, the area offers a wealth of Highland Games and shows, which are advertised locally. Speyside itself is home to various festivals of whisky, walking and music. For whisky lovers, a visit to the famous 'Whisky Castle' in Tomintoul will be thoroughly appreciated.

Railway: Aviemore: 24.9 mi
Situated in a beautiful corner of the Cairngorms National Park, the traditional village of Tomintoul and the surrounding area is best accessed and explored by car. Visitors may prefer to travel to one of the area's airports or railway stations and hire a car locally. Pre-booking would be advised.

Nearest airports are Inverness (Dalcross) and Aberdeen (Dyce). Local railway stations include Aviemore and Elgin - a change at Edinburgh from the direct London line will bring you to Aviemore through the stunning Scottish scenery.
