Please note that in 2018 the Barbados government introduced a room levy which is currently $8.75 per room per night. We are obliged to charge this on top of the rental.
A treasured find we’d like to keep to ourselves!
A beautiful and well appointed penthouse apartment, with all amenities, on two levels. It’s in a glorious location beside the best swimming beaches on the island. Peaceful spot with fabulous sea view yet just a few steps to shops, restaurants and public transport. Speightstown is a delightful and laid back town retaining old Caribbean charm but with a choice of restaurants and bars to suit everyone.

Lovely apartment
We have just spent a lovely 14 days at Jacaranda. The apartment is luxurious. It is very well equipped. It has everything you need including lots of bath and beach towels. There are two bedrooms both with double beds, fans and air conditioning. There is also a washing machine, a dryer and an American-style fridge/freezer. The view from the kitchen/dining room/living area/balcony is stunning. We spent most of our time on that balcony eating meals and/or drinking sundowners. It is only a short hop over the road to the beach and a short walk to the two local supermarkets, an ATM and a number of bars/restaurants. There is also secure parking.

Perfect home from home....in the sun!
This delightful apartment is a home from home in a traditional part of Barbados. This was not our first visit to this locality but one can never tire of the friendly people, the unspoilt beaches, the range of varied and good quality eateries and Barbados’s wonderful climate, punctuated by welcome showers which create such a lush vegatation. Kevin and Sheila have thought of everything to provide a very welcoming and comfortable experience whilst Sonja was on hand to address the few minor issues that arose promptly and efficiently. The sizeable living accommodation leads out on to a balcony with wonderful views over the Caribbean Sea and the apartment is airy without any need to use the air conditioning, provided the balcony doors are open. The bedrooms have good storage space and are also light and airy. The kitchen is well stocked, with great work spaces making self catering easy. Thank you both for contributing so much to making this such a memorable holiday. We’ll be back!

Fabulous Holiday
What a gem we found. We arranged for a taxi to pick us up from the airport and stop off at a supermarket to pick up some shopping . He was a
lovely man who told us all about the wonderful decorated roundabouts that were celebrating 50 years of independence.
On arrival at the apartment we turned the key in the door to find a fantastic home that was ours for the week. We had an amazing week, used the local bakery , went on the reggae bus to Bridgetown, visited Jumas as for an excellent meal. We were even invited to a locals party where we met a lot of people. Eddies supermarket was visited regularly and the Bristol Beach Bar became a favourite to watch the sunset. All in all it was a fantastic apartment with everything anyone on holiday could ever want, plus more and we would love to return for another holiday in paradise.
Many thanks

Wonderful experience
This apartment is both immaculate and very well placed on the beach front, what wonderful views of the beach and Caribbean! We stayed for almost 5 weeks and were delighted with our choice of accommodation particularly when we looked at another apartment in the same block during our stay. There is everything you could need in the apartment including a telescope! The owners were a delight to deal with.
Just a few minutes walk up the street are a number of bars and restaurants in Speightstown itself, do not be put off by appearances. The people are truly fantastic and are so friendly and welcoming just like Northerners in England!
Highly recommended.
You must visit Jumas and The Lobster Pot both excellent restaurants on the beach front.

Gorgeous beach front appartment
We arrived late evening and it took a bit of time for taxi driver to find White Sands but we got there.
The apartment is very spacious, the kitchen/lounge area is the real deal breaker. Huge open plan room that opens up to look across the beautiful blue ocean.
The kitchen is really well equipped & has lots of everything you'd need to cook.We did however find the dishwasher wasn't cleaning mugs & crockery so we tended to wash up instead, not a problem though.
The downstairs bedroom is big and airy with a smaller shower room in the hallway. The upstairs bedroom is smaller but perfectly adequate with a larger en suite. Plenty of spare towels for bathroom, beach & loads of bedding.
Turn left out of the Apartment block & you're within reach of bars, restaurants & beaches within 3 minutes. It is ideally situated to explore the real Barbados with all the home comforts we all want.
The locals all say hi with a smile. I loved Speightstown and would highly recommend Jacaranda if you want a clean, modern, fully equipped apartment with views to die for.
We would return next week if we could.

Bliss
The location of the property couldn't be better. The local amenities are all within a short walk. The owner provides a great list of things to do if like me you're not familiar with the area.
The apartment itself is like something out of a lifestyle magazine. Really lovely and tasteful. We ate in quite a bit and everything you'd need to cook was there.
The local birdlife is quite charming and you soon get used to them bringing you gifts in return for crumbs!
After a hard few months at work, I really needed a break and this place totally ticked all the boxes.

Fabulous apartment in a great location
We recently returned from a fabulous holiday in Barbados and loved our stay in Jacaranda. It is a spacious, well appointed and equipped apartment, very tastefully furnished and extremely attractive with a balcony overlooking the ocean. The main living space is especially large, well laid out and very comfortable. Speightstown is by-passed by the main highway leaving the apartment in a tranquil location often with only the sound of the waves breaking on the sand. One of our favourite times was sitting on the balcony just before sundown where we were often visited by a kingbird, several banana quits and Barbados blackbirds. There are several good restaurants within walking distance or a short drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed nearby Juma’s for instance. The property is also in a good location for worthwhile visits to places like North Point, Barbados Wildlife Reserve and St. Nicholas Abbey Historical Plantation House . We would very much like to revisit this lovely place.

Idyllic apartment with gorgeous views
We stayed in the lovely Jacaranda apartment at White Sands for a week.
The apartment was beautiful, clean, well furnished and had idyllic views. We spent many mornings enjoying breakfast on the terrace and drinks watching the sunset. We were even luckily enough to see three infamous Green Monkeys playing on the beach below :)
The apartment has everything you need for a home-from-home stay, beautifully furnished and well stocked with all the appliances you could ever need.
Speightstown is a great area with beautiful beaches, beach bars, restaurants and amenities on the doorstop. Juma's (5-10 minute walk) become a favourite for either a beach day or dinner/cocktails - the food was divine, the best Red Thai Curry ever.
We fell in-love with the charm of Barbados, not only is there white sandy beaches and glorious hues of the calm waters, but the people are so friendly and service is second to non. All creating the perfect holiday experience.
We are already dreaming of our next visit to Jacaranda and the charms of the island.

Holetown is about 10 minutes drive away and offers assorted bars, live music, cabaret and many restaurants.
Old plantation houses such as St Nicholas' Abbey and Sunbury Plantation put on interesting tours and rum tastings.
The east coast of the island faces the Atlantic ocean and so is different in character to the gentle Caribbean Sea. It is worth going to Crane Beach though to play in the surf and experience what the Sunday Times listed as one of the top 10 beaches in the world.
Bathsheba is an exceptionally picturesque spot on the east coast.. Whilst down in this part of the island you are close to the Concorde exhibition, located at the airport.
Horse racing and polo are popular on the island and make for a great day out. The George Washington museum is nearby.
St Lawrence Gap, towards the South of the island is more bustling and home to the nightclubs.
Bridgetown has a huge number of jewellers shops, bewilderingly large displays of emeralds and diamonds and keen duty free prices.
Crop Over in August is the time when the island parades, drinks rum, dances and has fun.
