Lovely spacious property with beautiful views. Walking distance to the lake and local facilities. :-)

What a place - quite simply the most beautiful location I've visited and was matched by the quality and standard of Villa Rosa. A superb location, just a 15 minute walk from the lake and blessed with the most incredible views. Very modern, clean, well maintained and spacious with all the facilities you could need for either a short stay or an extended visit. We were part of a large group but it never felt overcrowded, with plenty of options to either spend together around the pool or to just chill out individually and enjoy the amazing setting. Beverly and Johnny were both lovely and attentive hosts who ensured our stay was as relaxing and enjoyable as it could possibly be. I can’t recommend either Lake Como or Villa Rosa highly enough, and am already looking forward to my next visit!

Superb location up in the hills. While the road uphill is indeed very steep and challenging for larger sized cars, it is still manageable. Once there, you are rewarded with fantastic views over lake Como and right into the Alps. You can walk into the nice village of Argegno by foot (downhill approx. 15 minutes, uphill 25 minutes) following the ancient mule carriage way - perfect workout. The property offers amble sleeping for 12 persons, however, I'd rather recommend it for 10 persons due to seating capacity inside and outside. The kitchen is well staffed with all mandatory equipment and larger sized bowls and pans to allow cooking for a larger size group.

Villa Rosa is a great property. Modern and reasonably well maintained, with a pool, and views from the terrace to die for. We had an issue when we arrived - the property had not been cleaned! Unmade beds (with the used bed linen in place), old damp towels on the bathroom floors, etc. A quick call to the property managers and 5 hours later, all was fixed and ship-shape. Whilst this could have been a MAJOR inconvenience, we chose to more or less ignore it as "one of those things" - even though we couldn't use the property until 9 o' clock in the evening. So back to the property. Like so many rentals in Italy it is not the easiest place to find or access. Very steep and narrow roads (and I grew up in the North Wales back country lanes!). There is parking just 50-100 metres or so from the gate avoiding the steepest part of the road. So, not for the faint hearted or bigger vehicles, but for us it was fine. 4 bedrooms on the ground floor with 2 bathrooms, and an open kitchen/dining room/lounge upstairs plus a 3rd bathroom. All well equipped. Modern appliances (including good wifi) which all worked, and nice furniture. The terrace has a large table with seating for 12, plus outside wicker sofas - and the most wonderful views down the valley out to Lake Como. We saw dear, and wild boar right outside the (well fenced) garden at night - fabulous. The nearest village and restaurants are in Argegno, a 10 minute quick drive down to the lake shore. There is a reasonable number of restaurants to choose from. Up the valley are other towns, and several restaurants so plenty of variety - but ALL require driving. Having stayed in rentals around Tuscany where many rental properties are in the middle of nowhere, this villa is not particularly out of the way. If you want to be able to walk to restaurants/bars - look elsewhere.

Wonderful lakeside setting for a beautiful villa with a pool. Thoughtfully fitted out with all amenities and very clean. Views to wake up to are amazing. Only drawback is steep climb to get to villa but local taxi firm will take care of all transportation needs. Argegno has its own ferry terminal to take you to different parts of the lake and selection of good restaurants in the village.

Nous sommes venus à 11 personnes. La villa est spacieuse, la vue exceptionnelle mais nous tenions à signaler quelques désagréments: - la propreté n’est pas parfaite sous les lits, dans les armoires de la cuisine, les fenêtres... - plusieurs choses cassées: une chaise, le parasol, le sommier où il manque des lattes, deux lampes de chevet, l’aspirateur pas terrible, les cuvettes des wc dévissées, il manque une partie de la cafetière électrique .... La villa est tout de même chère pour pouvoir prétendre à matériaux de qualité et un service parfait! Il est à noter que Beverley a pris note de tous ces désagréments et a été très réactive mais tout doit être vérifié avant la remise des clés. Nous avons tout de même passé une bonne semaine.

Ideal location, wonderful views but villa very tired. Time for investing in new electrical items in the villa. ie. fridge, washing machine and a new hairdryer. A definite need for air conditioning, bathrooms only adequate and the villa needs an intensive cleaning and painting. We arrived late on a very hot day, no welcome pack or water provided. This meant a further journey to get basic supplies. Owners accepted there were problems but this did not reflect on the price we paid for our week in Lake Como

Lake Como is stunning, super friendly people, food was delicious and a very gentle laid back holiday with lots to do on our doorstep. Villa Rosa easily accommodated our family of 8 ranging in ages from 5 to 63! The views were amazing from the balcony where we saw the moon peep out from behind the mountain opposite one evening, followed by a rainbow over the lake the next day. The swimming pool was a real bonus which we risked for our booking in May (would it be hot enough?) but we are so glad we did as it was used every day despite some cloudy days. Beverly our host was lovely and supported our stay with little check in's via text messages to make sure we were okay. I can't rate this place highly enough and would happily return.

Fantastic location with plenty of space. Nine adults staying in Villa Rosa and four more in nearby apartament. It never felt too crowded. Beds very comfortable, pool open even though the season was over- wonderful! Excellent place to chill out. Beverly from Lake Como prop...very helpful and lots of good tips. Andreas taxi service superb! Would definetly go back as long as we are ablebodied - steep walks up and down to Argegno!
