Wonderful get away!
The Byre is the most wonderfully peaceful get away, set in a rural location overlooking beautiful fields. The house has everything you need and was perfectly set up for our young family.

Wonderful family holiday
We had a lovely time, wonderful views and the weather wasn't too bad. The welcome gift was a lovely touch and it was very kind of the owner to pop by on our arrival to make sure we were settling in ok and to explain how to use the hot tub. The bed was comfortable and the bedding had a lovely fresh scent, the only downside was that the mattress was too soft for us. I would recommend taking a lighter or matches if you plan to use the log burner as we were unable to use it the first night as we couldn't find anything to light it with.

Lovely break away
We had the best time away. Everything we needed for a relaxing break. House was clean, had all the amenities we needed. Beds and pillows comfy and the hot tub was super 👌. Will definitely be returning and recommending to friends.

Great Holiday Cottage
This is a lovely place to spend your holiday time it is well equipped inside with a large lounge kitchen area and bedrooms have on sweet showers and toilets the best part is the lovely views of the surrounding countryside and you get lots of seclusion and privacy also there is a hot tub the only downside is the rough lane leading up to this cottage but it’s a fairly short lane so not too bad you just got to drive slowly overall this is a great place to stay and at a reasonable price too.

So relaxing!
Once again The Byre served up the most relaxing holiday it's possible to get, apart from the times when there was noise from the lawn mower or other equipment next door. I wasn't able to do much so it was a "Wimbledon and chill" fortnight for us. Sadly, I wasn't able to use the hot tub thanks to the after effects of cancer treatment, but we'll be back again without a doubt.

Peaceful hideaway.
Just returned home from a relaxing four-night stay at The Byre. The host was welcoming and we appreciated the cake cider and apple juice on arrival. The accommodation is perfect for 4 people and has the option of 2 double rooms or a double and a twin. The master has an ensuite shower room and there is a "jack and jill access to the bathroom from the twin bedroom and the corridor so it can be used as an ensuite for the twin by locking the corridor door. Comfortable beds and very cosy with gas central heating and underfloor heating in the living room/kitchen area. We didn't use the log burner but an initial supply of logs was provided. There are some puzzles and games and the children really enjoyed playing on the Wii. The hot tub was a wonderful spot to enjoy the country views! We had good mobile phone signal and the wifi worked very well. The kitchen was well equipped but there wasn't enough cupboard space for the groceries I took with me. The bedroom curtains do not block out the light which might be an issue for some in the summer mornings. We hope to return again soon.

Great peaceful hideaway
This is our second visit to the Byre, had a lovely peaceful week, great views, especially when sitting in the hot tub! The Byre itself is comfortable and was great for 2 couples as you each have your own en-suite shower/bathroom (some things within the Byre could now do with a little updating). Nice walk along canal path to pub (approx 1hr 15ms walk) and the cottage itself is centrally positioned to visit either coastline and other places of interest. Will definitely return within the not too distant future
