Agios Andreas boasts a beautiful sandy beach where turtles nest and a picturesque little harbour lined with tavernas and kafenions. Situated in the centre of Agios Andreas above To Petrino, a delightful traditional taverna, Filis Apartment is only two minutes walk from the harbour and another two minutes to the beach. There is a good-sized, prettily furnished sitting room with a dining area and an open fireplace. The sitting room opens onto the large front balcony with a beautiful sea view. The smaller twin bedroom also has a sea view. The large double bedroom opens onto a big balcony at the rear with views over the village to the mountains. Agios Andreas is a small, quiet place even in summer but it has excellent facilities. There are two beach bars, half-a-dozen tavernas, a couple of café bars, two minimarkets, an excellent butcher, a greangrocer's, a pastry shop, two gifts shops and a bank. The bus stops right by To Petrino to take you into Kalamata or Koroni.

About the neighborhood
This is an area for people who love Greece and of course, the Greeks love children, so it's very child-friendly. Life here is the way it was on the Greek islands 20 or 30 years ago. If you say kalimera, kalispera or yeia sas, you will be greeted with warm friendly smiles. In August Agios Andreas is full of visitors but they are mostly Greek. Every week there are local fiestas with Greek music and dancing. This is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sun, beach and Greek hospitality. At Filis apartment and To Petrino taverna, Sparti and her father are waiting to welcome you. You can also enjoy wonderful sailing trips from Agios Andreas harbour.
