This is a beautiful, cosy, well-provisioned cottage with amazing views. It is beautifully decorated with a four poster bed and has a wood burning stove, as well as central heating.
Eileen and Robert are warm and friendly, and happy to help, with great attention to detail. There was a welcome note with some chocolates, a welcome basket and
both Robert and Eileen were there to meet us when we arrived and to say goodbye as we left.
Our only regret was that we didn’t arrange to stay longer, and plan to remedy that as soon as possible!

Wonderful
We loved our stay in this cottage, we received the warmest of welcomes from Eileen and Robert, they showed us around and explained everything we needed to know and gave us great advice on the locality. They even left us a little gift, and a gift each for our dogs.. the cottage is warm and cozy with everything to make your stay comfortable.
The Beara peninsula is absolutely beautiful and this cottage is ideally placed for exploring it . We definitely plan to return in the not to distant future.
Thank you Eileen and Robert..

A new favourite.
Had the pleasure of staying here last week for 4 nights with our two doggies, such a lovely wee cottage with everything you could need for cozy evenings in including a wood-burning stove, and a perfect base for exploring the Beara Peninsula by day. The owners were super helpful and couldn’t have done more to ensure we had a great stay, can’t wait to come back. Thanks so much Eileen & Robert!

An absolutely wonderful place to stay.
What a wonderful place to stay. Eileen and Robert are the best hosts we have ever met. They go to such great lengths to ensure you have an excellent visit to their cottage and to the area. They are warm and welcoming, and ensure that you have everything you might need during your stay. The cottage is perfect, all modern conveniences but in a wonderfully unique property and in a spectacular location. Don't miss out on this place. Magical.

Highly Recommended
9.55pm Sept 17th 2020 and still sitting outside to soak up the last of the views and the constellations in the night sky, something not visable to the naked eye with city living. Had an amazing time here this week and don't want to go home tomorroe but have to get back to reality...unfortunately. I highly recommend this cottage for a stay. From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome. If you ever want to know what Cead Mile Failte really means then you have to meet Eileen and Robert. We were greeted on arrival with a roaring stove lit, a pot of tea and a basket of goodies, not to mention, not just one chocolate on the pillow but a whole box and a birthday gift for me from them and couldn't be more perfect even though they've never met me.
The cottage is warm and welcoming and has a loving energy about it so we felt at ease straight away and the backdrop is to die for. Plenty of headspace, writing and reading time and our days were filled with plenty to do in the surrounding area. Lots of stunning walks and places of all sorts of interest. All the info you need is in the cottage and you can wander and find your own experiences to add to their directory, you just have to explore this area, it's magical.
Totally left to your own devices here which I loved but Eileen and Robert are only a stone throw or a text away and they checked in with us via email to make sure we were ok and to see if we needed anything.
Would definitely recommend this place and can't wait to be back.
Thank you both for a wonderful experience. Will be remembered always x x x

The perfect Irish Cottage Experience
We stayed in the Old Pub Cottage for 5 nights and everything was perfect. Eileen and Robert are just the kindest, most warm hearted people you will ever meet. When we arrived, they greeted us with hot tea and already had a fire going in the stove in the living room. Then we got a tour of the lovely cottage and recommendations for things to do and places to visit in abundance. They even left us a little welcoming present with a handwritten note. On our last evening, they came over again to give us heartfelt goodbye, since they couldn't be there the next morning when we were leaving.
The cottage was, of course, also perfect. It really feels more like a home than a rental cottage and so we did feel right at home. We slept really well and had a fire going every evening. Eileen and Robert also supplied us with way more wood than we could ever have needed for our 5 nights stay. The cottage is also placed well for exploring the Beara peninsula, while not being to far away from Kenmare, the nearest bigger town with big supermarkets.
We will definitely stay here again if we return to Beara one day.

Brilliant Holiday Cottage
We never had such a warm welcome. Our hosts Eileen and Robert were waiting for us with a hot cup of thee and the fireplace was burning! We got all information about the area.
The house was very clean and comfortable!
We didn’t have to think of new wood for the stove, all things you forget to take with you like salt etc were in the house, rubbish was each time taken away.
Thanks for the very fine stay in your little piece of Heaven!
