This cabin is steps from the the lake and there are canoes/ kayaks available along with life jackets and paddles. One of the Kayak paddles was broken so we used the canoe paddles. We were very pleased to see a loon on the lake most of the days we stayed. We also saw a bald eagle in the trees along the lake as we canoed. We used the fire pit and the grill (had to clean the grill first, hadn't been cleaned for a while). The kitchen is well equipped and the bedrooms comfortable. The bathroom and shower are nice with good water pressure. We loved being able to just look out on the lake anytime from inside the cabin or from the porch. It is so peaceful! I love that this lake has no motor boats on it. The owner was accessible and helpful with any of our needs/ questions

My family and I stayed in this beautiful cabin and it was the most relaxing trip ever! The cabin was super clean and fully stocked with anything you could think of. It was so nice having a fire going in the morning and at night. The canoes were an awesome addition to the house. Alex was a great host and we will definitely be booking again!

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Alex’s cabin and the first time we brought our kids. They had a blast fishing, swimming and hunting tadpoles and frogs. The cabin and property are beautiful. I had a few small questions during our stay and Alex responded immediately. The kids are already asking when we’re going back. We will definitely book it again.

I looked at several cabins on TripAdvisor before choosing this one, and it was definitely the right choice. The cabin itself is beautiful, very well-maintained and clean. The three bedrooms provide plenty of room for visitors, the kitchen is well-stocked (pots, pans, spices, cooking oils, utensils, coffee pot, microwave, crockpots, toaster oven, dishwasher), and is very pretty. The bathroom has a large gorgeous shower. The cabin sits feet from Mirror Lake, and the view from the spacious deck is amazing. There is also a private dock to launch the four kayaks & canoes from, or to just sit and relax on. We enjoyed watching the fish, birds, ducks, cranes, bullfrogs, turtles and hummingbirds (after we filled the feeder on the deck). You can also sit and watch the many kayakers, swimmers and canoers on the lake. The lake is usually covered in mist early in the morning, and it is amazing to watch it slowly swirl and dissipate as the sun comes up. The sun is never directly on the deck, which makes is a very comfortable place to sit in the summer. There are several lifejackets for all ages, as well as fishing poles that are available to use. There are plenty of extra blankets, sheets and pillows if needed. You will need to bring towels (including kitchen), and there is no washer or dryer, so make sure you bring enough for your entire stay unless you want to make a trip to the laundromat. The yard is not large, but has a firepit close to the lake, as well as a beautiful babbling brook running between the yard and the adjacent wooded area. We enjoyed listening to the brook in the master bedroom at night. There is one smart TV, and Wifi is provided (no cable). There are also many books, movies, games and puzzles available. A large binder filled with information about local attractions sits on the coffee table for your convenience, and we did look through it and found it very helpful. The owner is extremely accommodating and easy to communicate with. He answered all messages in a timely manner, and provides his cell phone number in case you need to get in touch with him during your stay. His communications are very pleasant, making you feel welcome in his cabin. This was by far the most enjoyable and relaxing vacation we have ever been on. Our grown children and grandchildren visited for a couple of days, and they all loved the cabin. We spent many hours out on the lake, visiting local attractions, making meals together, and hanging out on the deck and the firepit. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable cabin on a lake. We hope to be able to return there again in the future.

Appreciated the perfectly placed fire pit, the woods for the kids to explore a little by the stream, the dock for the kids to fish, the kayaks were a special treat (need someone strong to get them in the water) and the public beach with raft. Unlike camping you get a totally private spot and to cook in a very nicely equipped kitchen and dine in or out as there are plenty of tables to choose from. A little musty in king bedroom but I just kept door open and was okay.

Love being able to eat all of our meals on the porch - next to the water. Love that the lake has no motorized boats. We saw eagle fishing the lake daily again just like last year. Also spent some time on brook - hiking and wading in the rocks. Great place to recharge batteries - get away from people, spend time in nature doing photography. Got great pictures of loon, eagle, frogs, and lilies. Love this rental - only 1.5 hours from our home - yet away from everything.

Great place, well stocked kitchen. My boys (10 and 12) loved the kayak/canoe all week and it's so close to everything we wanted to do: flume, lost river gorge, cog railway. Fabulous place!!
