Bedoin can be hectic in summer. The hamlet of les pousse chiens is a few km out, on the route to the top of Mont Ventoux. There are less than 20 houses. The wood fired Boulanger is of ste colombe is at 2 km. The place is impeccable , run professionally by friendly owner Flavie. The house is a great choice for cyclists and walkers who are looking for a base to discover the many fantastic routes and climbs in this area. The house is located in a small, rustic, hamlet a few kms from Bédoin just off the road which leads to the summit of Mont Ventoux. There are 2 double bedrooms, 1 twin and a sofa bed making it very flexible for groups and families. There's a small pool which is perfect for children and adults who want to cool down on hot days. Next to the pool is a gas barbeque and outdoor dining area, all with spectacular views across olive groves out to the surrounding mountain range. Access to a small lockable shed is also included with space for at least 5 bikes and parking is made available across the road opposite the house. Inside the house is clean and well equipped with a modern washing machine, wifi, TV, 2 bathrooms, TV, storage areas, a terrace balcony and kitchen. We paid a small surcharge for linen so all the beds were made-up in advance with clean sheets and blankets. The location is excellent, peaceful and picturesque, the surrounding area has lots to offer to cyclists, walkers and anyone who wants to explore this very beautiful area of France. Beyond the obvious things to do I would urge all visitors, cyclists or not, to make a trip to nearby Gorges de la Nesque.
