This small, family run, holiday caravan park offers self-catering seaside holidays and is located right next to a beautiful sandy beach in the quiet village of Bacton. On the North Norfolk Coast, we are near the Norfolk Broads, and between the larger coastal resorts of Cromer and Great Yarmouth. We have just nine holiday caravans a laundry/tourist information room and outdoor climbing frame with slide and swings for children. Prices include all gas, electricity, free wifi internet access, and use of the laundry room and there is no extra charge for pets. Check in from 3pm, departure about 10am. Bacton has two cafés, a gift shop, fish and chip shop, newsagent/grocery store, Chinese restaurant and park with a children's play area, all within a few minutes walk. The Poacher's Pocket pub and restaurant is just under a mile away along the sea front in one direction, whilst the mini-resort of Mundesley with its amusement arcade, cafés, skateboard park and Adventure Island Crazy Golf Course is about three miles along the beach in the other direction. Boat hire and tours are available on the Norfolk Broads only six miles away. Spend a quiet day pottering about on the beach, sunbathing, paddling, swimming, building sand castles, beach combing for fossils or beach fishing, popping back to your caravan now and then for refreshments. If you are feeling a little more energetic, you could walk along the beach to the neighbouring blue flag beach resort of Mundesley or, in the other direction, to the seafront village of Walcott. There are also pleasant walks around Bacton Woods and to the local church and circular walks via waymarked footpaths or quiet lanes. There are many attractions within a short drive of the site. There's the hustle and bustle of Great Yarmouth, Cromer and the cathedral city of Norwich and other attractions such as theme parks, the Norfolk Broads for walks and boat hire, sea boat trips for seal viewing or sea fishing, Sea Life Centres, National Trust properties, zoos, museums, steam railways and fun fairs.More

Great break! Caravan in superb position 100 yards from beach with amazing waves crashing into sea wall. Caravan very well equipped and cosy. Great walk to Mundesley along the beach - Ship Inn beer garden has excellent views on cliff top. Will be back - thank you!

Quality holiday park
I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Leas Beach Park the accommodation is well specified and maintained is clean and tidy. shop Chinese restaurant café and pub/restaurant are all within walking distance. The beach is only yards away through the entrance and has the coastal path in each direction giving nice walks to other resorts. This is a peacefull caravan park in a nice area, many thanks to Jocelyne & Tony who own and run a quality establishment.

The perfect peaceful seaside getaway
It's some years since we first stayed at The Leas Beach caravan park and although we've returned many times, I've just realised that we've never left a review. We're not the only ones to return and often meet others we've met before. The caravans are always scrupulously clean, well equipped and comfortable. The site is small and tidy but the nine caravans are well spaced out. The owners, Tony and Jos live on site and provide a wonderful personal service and nothing is too much trouble, which means that things very rarely go wrong. Use of the laundry is free of charge and there is always a good selection of holiday leaflets. Bring a book to leave or swap it for one already there. The beach is across the track and although the immediate beach has a summer dog ban it's only a couple of hundred metres in either direction along the sea wall before you can let dogs off the lead. The local dog warden is friendly! As mentioned elsewhere, the village of Bacton has a shop, cafes, Fish and Chip shop and eastern takeaway. It is also a good base for trips out and there are supermarkets in North Walsham (5 miles) and Stalham (7 miles). Norwich is about 20 miles away by easy roads. To sum up: if you want a peaceful seaside break away from it all, this a the place to go.

Perfect place to relax
Perfect place to relax and unwind. On arrival we was warmly welcomed by Tony, we arrived a little early as football was on, this was not a problem at all. The fresh milk tea and coffee was a welcomed bonus. Added bonus was The washing up liquid, cleaning spray, salt, pepper, vinegar, oil, toilet roll and oven gloves! How many times have you been away and forgotten those! Everyone so friendly. Shop is within walking distance. The beach is a stone's throw away from the caravan. We took our dog with us and he was allowed on the beach in certain zones. We will definitely stay here again.

Absolutely perfect
What a beautiful place. We stayed in number 4 for 3 nights during Easter holidays and it was just perfect. Lovely modern comfortable clean and fresh caravan with everything you could need, even milk tea and coffee! We could see the sea from our living room window and the on site park was a great place for the kids to make friends. We were on the beach every day and had it to ourselves! It was so convenient being able to nip back for drinks and at the end to get the kids in shower and warmed up quickly. We enjoyed the walk to the bigger park nearby after dinner one evening. We visited Cromer and Horsey Gap (amazing to see the seals) which were both only about 8 miles away. On site there was a laundry room, toys, books and everyone was so friendly. Our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer, which we will put right when we go back.

Brilliant stay at Bacton
The caravan was very clean and comfortable. Everything you need for a lovely holiday. Very close to the beach and dog areas easy to walk to either along the coastal path or along the sea wall. Local shop sold essentials and very friendly. Easy walk to Walcott where there is also a good shop and excellent café that is dog friendly. Mundesley a 3 mile walk away but beware of high tide as this cuts off part of the beach. Would love to come again.

Just what the doctor ordered !!!
Just back from The leas, what a super quiet place big clean caravan with tea coffee milk sugar condiments and wash up liquid and loo roll, the owners very nice people it is just a few steps from the beach, it is dog friendly why we chose it with parts for dogs and not some plenty of dog poo bins, there are signs all over to keep dogs on leads but sadly not many owners did and let them wonder , be aware there are 2 dog wardens around and will give tickets out !!! the weather very kind to us, the Chinese takeaway wonderful we ordered a few nights and picked it up 10 mins or so, the chip shop was ok but felt it was overcooked fish and the oil could do with a change as was very dark and oily , we will go back sometime but is far away for us compared to devon but would recommend to anyone small and clean site with a laundry should you need it !!!

another brilliant holiday
2nd stay at this site and as the last no cons. Caravan just what we needed and the biggest bonus for us is that it is dog friendly as is most of the area. We'll be back. Good weather would be also a bonus but you can't have everything.

How to get there
Directions to the site (If driving a large vehicle please ask for alternative directions). From Norwich take the B1150 signposted to North Walsham. When you reach North Walsham, turn left at the first set of traffic lights and then straight on at the second set of lights. Take the next right turn (signed to Edingthorpe), turn right at the T-junction and then take the next left turn. Go straight on at the next junction and follow the B1150 to Bacton (through Edingthorpe). Shortly after entering Bacton take the left turn signposted to Paston. Drive through the village until the road bends sharply to the left (there is a Chinese restaurant on your left). Turn right off the main road and then immediately right into Mill Lane (an unmade and un-named lane from this entrance). A large house called The Hermitage will be on your left. Follow Mill Lane through the sea defence gate and around to the right. Pass three cottages and you will see our site opposite the sea wall steps. Or from Cromer take the B1159 signposted to Mundesley. Follow the road through Mundesley and on into Bacton. Once in Bacton, take the first left turn just before a grassy triangle on the left and a right hand bend. Go straight on over Beach Road into Mill Lane (an unmade and un-named lane from this entrance). A large house called The Hermitage will be on your left. Follow Mill Lane through the sea defence gate and around to the right. Pass three cottages and you will see our site opposite the sea wall steps.
