Casa Juventino, is a unique village house, with large private garden and swimming pool, that combines the privacy of a country property with the convenience of village life.
Located in the old part of the pretty white washed village of Riogordo you’ll find numerous bars and restaurants, a great place to enjoy a relaxing holiday.
The original part of the house has been restored retaining many of the original features such as the entrance doors, terracotta tiled floors, archway and traditional chimney. The furniture and pictures in the sitting room are traditionally Spanish, that we have enjoyed collecting from antique markets all over Andalusia.

The bright and airy lounge on the first floor with contemporary floors, ceiling fans and leather sofa, has patio doors to a vine shaded terrace that connects to the stone staircase that lead to the garden and swimming pool.
There is one double bedroom on the ground floor with window to the street. On the first floor there are a further two double and one single bedrooms. Two with balconies to the street, and the master en suite with terrace overlooking the gardens and pool.
All are of good size, with antique beds, modern mattresses and feather pillows and duvets.
The family bathroom is a good size, with bath/shower and washing machine. The ensuite has a shower cubicle, and there is a downstairs toilet. Bath and swimming towels are provided.
Take breakfast under the vines on the small patio or dine alfresco on the large table by the pool, whilst watching the sun go down behind the mountains. The garden is a great space to enjoy the consecutive days of clear blue blue skies whilst listening to the relaxing sound of water in the privacy of an established garden.

I only visit to clean the pool mid week.
We were a family of 5 and enjoyed the house very much. Great for relaxing in the beatiful garden or house, cooking together in the well equipped kitchen. Village is quiet but feels like real Spain, far away from the tourists at the coast. Owners were very friendly and helpful when we needed some help.

A Beautiful, Relaxing Home, Pleasure to stay in.
An Idyllic setting, pool great for the kids, everything you need at hand, all mod cons incorporated into such a traditional character property with a modern kitchen and living space, ample space for a family of five, we found Riogordo a friendly traditional village, It was an absolute pleasure to stay in and we would highly recommend it. Simon was great to deal with.

Great house and location
Riogordo is a great location for exploring the countryside whilst still being close to the coast and Malaga airport.
The house was delightful being spacious, tastefully furnished and complete with a very welcome pool.
We would certainly recommend this property.

A wonderfull place...
No problems with Simon. Good communication with him.
The house is big and beauty. Riogordo a good place.
Only the beds are too short for large persons.

Beautiful and well equipped house
We have had a great experience in Casa Juventino. The house is in the center of the beautiful "pueblo blanco" Riogordo right next to the church and local shops. It has a living room on ground level and a very spacious kitchen area. Our favorite part is located on the first floor: a cosy living room with lounge sofa and large flatscreen. It connects with the pool area where our kids enjoyed themselves a lot. The house is very well equipped and the owners take care of every detail. A great place to relax and get away from city life. We will be back !

About the neighborhood
Riogordo, in the area of Axarquia east of Malaga, is situated 35 kilometres from Málaga (30 minutes drive),and about the same from the coast at Torre del Mar. The village has an altitude of 400 metres, a population of 3,000, and lies on the scenic Route of Olive Oil and Mountains.
The village layout of Riogordo maintains its Moorish origin, although newer construction also exists. There are many 16th century niches dotted throughout the streets and the parish church of the Virgen de Gracia is from the same century. There is also a rural ethnographic museum which is well worth a visit (open on weekends).
Getting around
Everything in the village is within walking distance, but to discover the area I recommend a car.
Granada, Sevilla, Malaga, Ronda and Cordoba are all day trips if you're looking for culture. There are some great beaches nearby, the closest are Malaga and Torre del Mar, but if you drive just past Nerja, you will find some spectacular unspoilt award winning beaches.
