The local bakery is just around the corner, so collect your freshly baked bread and enjoy breakfast on your own private balcony. Think nothing but relaxation as you slip into your free standing bathtub or refreshing waterfall shower in a marble lined bathroom. Watching the sun disappear over the hills, the view is nothing less than picture perfect. We provide complimentary access to a nearby swimming pool and wellness centre for a day within a few minutes walk (sauna, Turkish bath, chroma shower) Close enough for a weekend getaway, far enough to feel a world away from home. Apartment One has been designed mainly for couples looking for an exquisite place to stay, however the apartment can also be configured as a two bedroom apartment at no extra cost. About the neighborhood
The apartments are right in the centre of the medieval hilltown of Montone and everything is just a short walk away. You will find most shops here, including a bakery for fresh bread, pizza and pastries, two mini-supermarkets, a post office and a pharmacy. The seven restaurants and two bars of Montone are all within a short walking distance from the apartments, so although the apartment kitchens are very well-equipped, you could choose to eat locally at different restaurants for each night of your stay. Markets are in abundance, from a farmers market on a Saturday in the nearby town of Umbertide, where you can buy organic vegetables, cheeses, honey, olive oil and wine to the enormous antique market the first weekend of every month in Arezzo
Getting around
If you prefer not to drive in Italy, Montone is an ideal location. We can arrange a taxi to collect and return you from Perugia airport or others. Montone has a limited bus service but it will get you down to Umbertide where you can connect to other destinations like Perugia and Sansepolcro by train. We can also arrange transportation and excursions for you to see vineyards, restaurants, horse riding and more.
