Perfect accommodation
We loved staying here! The accommodation was versatile and spacious. Everywhere was immaculately clean. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a very generous welcome pack when we arrived. The best thing for our group was the ease of access into the woods behind the house for relaxing walks. We've stayed in Carrbridge before, but this is the only place we'd return to. We almost want to keep it a secret!

This was our third visit to Birchtree Cottage, a perfect location for many local attractions.
There are local attractions to suit all tastes from Grandparents to young children, for example, Landmark Adventure Park for the kids, Loch Insh water sports, Speyside Railway, the Heather Centre, RSPB Abernathy and National Trust properties to name a few. We even managed a ride on the Jacobite Special train, Fort William to Mallaig, taking the journey from Carrbridge to Fort William via Loch Laggan and back via Loch Ness. The quiet port of Burghead is within easy reach, ideal for sand yachting or wind surfing. The dolphins are often out and about there too. If you are a jet plane fan, the RAF place near Lossiemouth is for you. For arts, crafts and book lovers, there is Logie Steading near Forres, reached by a scenic moorland road. We hope to return next year.

Fabulous!
Stayed at this delightful cottage for 3 nights with a friend of the family. The cottage is just fantastic and a real home from home. It has been renovated to an extremely high standard and is a true delight to spend time in. There is everything there that you could need and the surrounding area is beautiful. Can’t praise this lovely place high enough.

Great Venue
A wonderful base for a large family gathering. Generous room sizes, great and well equipped communal spaces, and fantastic location. Modern and thoughtfuly designed. Out of the (relative) bustle of Aviemore, Carbridge offers the perfect base for all kinds of outdoors activities, be that a walk in the woods directly acccessed from the fenced-in rear garden, or wider a field for all the fun and activities the NP has to offer.

Excellent house for our Christmas break!
Spacious and well laid out home which suited us perfectly for our 5 day stay over Christmas. House was in excellent condition with everything we could possibly need The owners had included a few extras such as tea, biscuits and a bottle of prosecco which was a really nice touch. They even put in a Christmas tree so that things looked festive for us. Garden was a great size and backed on to the woods where we enjoyed some great walks during our stay. All in all we had a brilliant stay at the cottage and hope to return in the future.

woods, space and relaxation
Great location - out the back gate to the woods and down the road to Railway station one way and shops cafe's in the other. Plenty of room inside house, especially bathrooms. Well equipped kitchen. A couple more easy chairs would complete the comfort. We will be back.

Lovely Cottage
I stayed here with my family and the family dog when we came up to breath in the sights of the cairngorms. There is a lot of things to do around Carrbridge and nearby Aviemore and Inverness. We went to the Safari park for my brother which he enjoyed, dolphin spotting for my sister, train ride on the Strahspey Railway which was my choice and trying to find the loch ness monster for my cousin. But overall good transport links from the A9 and the train station is 200yds away from the cottage. There is also a spar shop to get your Bread and Milk for breakfast. 10/10 For the owners and the cottage. Would visit again.
