Front Room and Hall which has cathedral ceilings and lights floods in from the south facing aspect.
Kitchen and utility to the right - all modern conveniences.

A great cottage where you feel like at home, it is full equiped. We enjoyed a remarkable hospitality. The surrounding area is very calm and situated in a typical Connemara landscape. View on the ocean and the mountains. The supermarket is at 1,5 km. Numerous opportunities for balads.

Really nice house just outside Achill sound. Lovely big windows looking over the sound and a fuel burning stove. Slightly off the beaten track - definitely need a car!

About the neighborhood
Achill island is a Gaeltacht area where English and Irish is spoken. Because of its relative remoteness, it has managed to preserve its unspoilt beauty and still has a very relaxing, laid back ambience. The scenery is spectacular by any standards and the Minnaun Hights, the highest cliffs in Europe are about ten minutes drive away. There are many fine beaches and recreational facilities no more than 20 minutes drive away including, watersports, fishing, kite surfing, golfing and cycling paths, and walks. Achill also hosts many art galleries, festival and retaurants.

Ferry: Dun Laoighre: 186.4 mi
Achill Island is the biggest Island in Ireland and situated on the west coast of Co Mayo. Knock Airport is about an hour away and Shannon airport is a 3 hour journey, and Dublin 4 hours, all by car. Naomh Iosaef is on Google Earth and we will be happy to give you a map when you book. Achill is also an hour's drive from the picturesque town of Westport (voted best place in Ireland to live in 2012).
