We offer a brand new nature cabin that will make your experience in Monteverde unforgettable. Located on a 2 acre property surrounded by forest, beautiful views, and a small creek behind the cabin.
You’ll have many wild visitors that come say hi by the windows singing and dancing among the branches like birds (toucans, bellbirds, among many other species) agoutis, and monkeys (howler and white faced capuchin species) that get very close sometimes.

Away from busy touristic areas
Ola!
Our stay in the Marias cabin started by being picked up from the busstation. Perfect; no scamming taxidriver and no searching needed in the dark.
Actually we stayed in the other cabin; due to constructions this was offered to us. This cabin was actually even better for us because of the view. You have a view on sort of a natural orchard and you can walk around in it. Next to the house is a little bit of forest as well. We saw many birds in the garden and at night we looked around with a headlight. Amazing insects come to the lamp outside.
All of the brothers are really friendly, interested and help whenever needed. They also showed us animals around the house whenever present. I also did a tour with one of the brothers and despite some rain it was great to get information and answers to all my questions. Also we saw quite some animals which I hadn't expected in that weather.
A walk to the village Santa Elena (1/2 hour?) can be done but probably not everyone likes it. If you walk towards the village it's mostly uphill and often stinky cars en motorcycles come by. It depends on the person.
Next year there is a new cabin close to the Marias cabin 2 (was being build right now within 10 meters of cabin 2). If you really like your privacy, Marias cabin could be a better choice.
Overall great place if you like the quiet non-touristic places with friendly people that we would really recommend!

How to get there
How to get there:
After you arrive to Santa Elena de Monteverde Village, go to the cemetery of Santa Elena. When you are at the cemetery:
Go SouthEast from the cemetery (down the hill) for about 800 mts.
Once you reach the T (you can't go straight anymore), please turn right.
Pass the little bridge and turn left (narrow road at the middle of the hill).
Once on the narrow road, look for the second entrance on you left.
The cabin is not visible from the road, you have to drive to the back right of the property to see it.
If you pass the Cabin's entrance, you will get to the end of the road / a dead end.
