Casa Mosaica Is a very unusual and stunning, Moorish-style property in the vibrant and celebrated hill top village of Gaucin, one of the ‘Pueblos Blancos’ of Andalucia; a pretty, traditional village, with spectacular views to Africa, where donkeys are still working and local festivities are enthusiastically celebrated.
Hidden behind an anonymous façade is the private, and surprisingly large Casa Mosaica. Unseen from the busy street, the peaceful scented garden is full of exotic palms, jasmines, bougainvillea, mosaics and fountains; the pretty swimming pool in its own courtyard is just what you long for after the heat and bustle of village life a trip to the Mediterranean coast 29kms away or nearby Ronda.

Smoking is not permitted inside the house. The garden and pool area are shared with Casa Mosaica apartment, therefore all guests are asked to be respectful to one and other. There are 2 very friendly and lovely house cats on the premisses, it may not be suitable for guest with cat allergies.

Fabulous time in Casita Mosaica
We spent two terrific weeks at Casita Mosaica. It's simply stunning! Quirky and interesting with everything you need. Beautiful gardens with lemon trees -great for the gin and tonics? The pool is lovely and the village of Gaucin is quiet and peaceful but with 5/6 restaurants and bars so enough to keep you occupied. Everything is within walking distance of the Casita. Just a great place to spend a holiday- no hesitation in recommending. The owner has shown great care and attention throughout.

Stunning, relaxing enchantment
We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Casita Mosaica.
It is a truly stunning property. Such care has been taken in the spacious, light and airy interior design. Every detail has been considered and carefully chosen. The mosaics and art works make it feel as though you have your own little gallery and yet it is cosy and comfortable.
The views from the large roof terrace are stunning. The gardens are similar to those we have paid to visit in other countries. So wonderful to just sit in them and enjoy the scents and sights.
The pool is gorgeous, clean and safe.
The village is a wonderful example of a quiet Andalusian white village yet has some fabulous restaurants and very friendly people.
We would highly recommend staying here and we certainly intend to revisit in the near future.

A magical place, beautifully done in every way and very comfortable
Casita Mosaica sits on the edge of the mountain town of Gaucin. There are cafes, shops and restaurants within walking distance. The view from the Moorish Tower is breathtakingly beautiful and with a drinks fridge located on the top floor a perfect location for a sundowner looking out across the beautiful and ever changing mountain scenery and watching the eagles circle and housemartins fly looking for insects,
The bedroom and bathroom are very comfortable and pretty. The kitchen is well equipped with a lovely sitting room at one end and great selection of books and DVDs. Lovely terrace off the kitchen with full use of garden beyond and swimming pool. I will definitely go back

Superb
Beautiful casa in a stunning white village, close to restaurants and bars. The shared pool ( with one other family ) is lovely, as are the gardens. We have stayed in 3 other casas in the village but without doubt this was the best. Indeed we have rebooked for next year already.

Casita Mosaica is paradise personified!!
Words are hard to find when trying to describe our experience at the Casita Mosaica to be honest. From the moment we walked through the metal gate to enter the Casita, to the moment we walked out for the last time, it was heaven.
It 100% has the Wow Factor effect and with every turn we had to pinch ourselves at how beautiful Emma had made the place. The mosiacs that are dotted around make the Casita even more breath taking.
Every detail was thought of from having DVD's to watch at night cosied up on the couch, to having a fridge in the tower to keep your water (wine).
Talking of the tower...we barely moved from there the whole holiday it was so perfect a place to chill out, lie back, chat and drink wine watching the sun set behind the mountain. It was our reason for wanting to return again for sure!
Emma, we can't thank you enough for giving us the experience we had that week...we will 100% be coming back again...and again xxx

A stunning Casita
The Moorish tower casita is a most delightful self-contained apartment which is exceptionally comfortable and with the guests every need considered. We had a very relaxing week and would highly recommend this accommodation.

Heavenly views, beautiful rooms, perfect location.
The Casita is the most charming Moorish house with a stunning terrace overlooking the Andulucian mountains. Inside, the house is beautifully decorated and furnished and has everything you need to make your stay super comfortable. It's perfectly located in Gaucin, a very short walk to the bars and restaurants and shops. The swimming pool is a lovely place to chill out and sun worship and you also have your own garden with sun loungers and tables and chairs for eating outside. The cats, Kevin and Geoffrey are super friendly and sweet!

About the neighborhood
Casa Mosaica is perfectly placed for guests to walk to all the shops as well as the many restaurants and charming tapas bars in the narrow lanes of Gaucin. A full "insiders" list of every thing that is good in the area is available for guests in the house. Gaucin is one of the most spectacularly beautiful mountain villages of Andalusia. The location is astounding: white houses ranged along a lofty ridge framed by craggy peaks, vultures and eagles wheeling overhead surrounded by miles of sun dried hills. There are beautiful beaches from 30 mins drive away. Several national parks nearby and walking groups for visitors to join. Horse riding. Nearby cities to visit: Ronda 40 mins drive,Tangier, (Morocco). Malaga, Seville, Jerez, Granada.
Getting around
A car is essential. The famous "Mr. Henderson's Railway" built in 1890 from Algeciras to Ronda passes through Estacion de Gaucin (20 min drive from the town!) and well worth a memorable journey through the gorges of the Sierra de Ronda. Re opening again after a period of closure end of March 2019.

How to get there
Malaga airport 1.30hrs drive. Gibraltar airport 1hrs, drive. Most guest arrive at Malaga and directions to Casa Mosaica will be sent from there. It's usual to take the AP7 toll road (3 tolls that take credit cards) to the A377 turn off. It's difficult to park in Gaucin, but Casa Mosaica is on the Ronda side of the village and parking is available outside.
